<0> if not amarok .. the ?? player likewise..
<0> ideally sans 'ripping' and using hdd space
<1> kscd
<0> in midst of major hdd cleanups n swapouts here..
<1> why you low on hdd space?
<1> i mean 1 cd usually = about 54MB...
<1> do you have 2 optical drives or one?
<0> Solaris444: aye.. but kscd did see and attempt to play in my new dvdrw/cdrw burner but.. sadly.. NO SOUND
<0> not low.. but again already playing hdd librarian.. via my hotswap hdd bay..

<3> like i can download it off th internet?
<0> damn.. told in #kde there is digital output config in kscd.. not seeing here?

<6> Toast, if you want to be running applications that are optimized to use the dual core capabilities, then yes.
<6> or at least the 64bit extensions
<3> i used the dvd to
<6> you honestly won't see a whole lot of difference unless your doing very cpu heavy apps like Blender
<3> YEs
<0> dayamnnn!!.. had no clue since falling in love w suse10 last yr.. and likewise amarok.. that 30 mins later i STILL ;[.. cant just drop in audio cd and listen.. grrrrr...

<0> kde vampires ***ure that kscd can play it in 'digital output' mode.. yet i find no 'digital' anythang in configs.. ug

<8> SuSEhelp, libdvdcss
<9> http://download.videolan.org/pub/libdvdcss/1.2.9/rpm/libdvdcss2-1.2.9-1.i386.rpm and for 64bit, ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/ftp.links2linux.de/pub/packman/suse/10.0/x86_64/libdvdcss2-1.2.8-0.pm.2.x86_64.rpm
<1> lol. you don't HAVE to have 64 bit linux.
<6> ah, so that you don't have to have the analog cable running from your drive to your aux input on your sound card?
<6> Solaris444 is right. Like I said, most users won't even notice the difference if your still running 32bit binaries.
<1> Not on a machine that m***ive.
<6> that is unless your doing **** like video or graphic rendering.
<1> I mean, suse runs fine on a 1GHz PIII.
<3> yeah i know cause my dad has a 1.1ghz
<3> AMD
<0> theres the rubb sky_monkey007 .. is that me prob.. in 2006 a brand new dvdrw/cdrw S T I L L needs fckg audio cable to soundcard to play audio cd's?.. kinda shocked here that fckg huuge ide cable doesnt have nuff pipe for audio?
<0> and since me layout here has a dvd/cd combo and me new burner onboard.. means i have to choose which one to physically cable to soundcard.. uuuggh
<6> tech9iner: it has the pipe for audio. It's just that the software apparently doesn't have full support for digital output...or it just doesn't work with your drive with kscd.
<3> guys i have to go to school
<6> for instance....when I used to run Windows, Windows Media Player could play the audio fine with no analog cable running to my sound card. Kscd has never been able to do that for me, nor has Amarok.
<6> later SAM_theman
<3> lol not now
<7> solaris444 who doesnt have a 64 bit linux
<3> around 6:30-6;45 i am outta here
<6> I don't. Not yet at least
<3> well i don't know
<3> i just install SUSE like any other time...
<6> kinda wishing I had a AMD64 x2 4800+ right about now. Would sure make my video transcoding go a hell of alot faster.
<3> thinking it will automaticly detect its forcefeild :D

<7> all i had was 200 so i got the 3700
<3> dude i have the AMD 3800+ x2 and its just fine............
<3> took me 3mins or less to install and AA
<7> i know the 3700 with 1 mb l2 is very fast
<2> yesterday I updated gtk2-2.8.10-6 from supplementary gnome sources, and now any gtk app I try to load I get an error: symbol lookup error: /opt/gnome/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_object_compat_control ... any known problem?
<3> same thing here 512x2 l2
<6> netmask, I never used to get any of my gnome packages from supplementary. Your just asking for trouble...
<6> I used the usr-local-bin mirrors.
<7> ok im heading for the top
<10> tada =)
<6> I would drop back down to the previous version of gtk2 that you had
<6> Toast, your so modest :)

<10> now if i could just finish my bio desiel reactor
<10> i could drive for cheap

<10> then finish my car that runs on water
<0> SuSEhelp: audiocd
<11> hello. i'm trying to install SLES 9 RC5 on my Intel x64 computer with SATA disk. The installation doesn't see the disk. Is it a common problem?

<6> What do you use to make it? Soybeans, animal fat, etc?
<2> sky_monkey007: which version should I have? it didn't have any updates yesterday...
<0> wow.. lost here on audiocd playback..
<10> tp://journeytoforever.org/biofuel.html\
<10> sorry didnt copy it all
<6> netmask, if your using glib-2.9.1 or higher, the function g_object_compat_control is not defined any longer.
<10> http://journeytoforever.org/biofuel.html
<6> looking now
<10> i make it out of used fry oil
<10> when its done it smells good and runs good
<10> the oil is free
<2> sky_monkey007: glib-1.2.10-598
