<0> anyone play enemy territory?
<1> hi
<1> any body there?

<2> ricardo, hi
<1> perry753, can you tell me how can i make one script that can run on the startup, executing console commands on linux redhat 9, (shrike) ... i'm trying to do something similar to an autoexec.bat on windows
<2> ricardo, hey
<2> see if you have the /etc/rc.conf file
<2> that should be the file that is executed last on the startup
<2> Sorry for the late responce
<1> thnks... late but on time
<1> :)
<3> Hello, i have an old redhat 7.2 box infected with the T0rn rootkit, i can't edit rc.sysinit and get permission denied, is there any way to know which process has it open and kill it?
<3> nvm figured it out
<4> Is there a way to wipe-out an installed rpm and re-install it fresh? without having to un-install dependencies?

<5> Hello, I am running a box with redhat 9 on a laptop as a server and have been for a while. This morning suddenly the internet connection stopped working and when I try to reconnect I get a "LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests" from pppd 2.4.1
<6> is there anyway i can get my resolution up in my x-window
<6> my max resolution is 800x600
<6> but i know it can have more
<7> naknomik: you can --force, but that might break things on your system if it's a critical package
<7> |markie|: edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config file... there should be a place in there it says "800x600", so put a "1024x768" in front of it
<7> if you get in trouble you can shift resolutions with ctrl-alt-NumericKeypad+
<6> cool; i will change and try it
<6> brb
<7> you'll havve to restart teh x server to have that change take effect.... ctrl-alt-backspace
