<6> you can set the local host name and it will work on that local machine, but the other machines wont' have a way of resolving that name

<6> because name resolution requires either a central point to resolve names to IPS (a dns server) or each machine has to have that information in its local hosts file.

<11> Hello, I just purchased a dedicated server and its running Fedora 2. I want to setup an FTP server on it. I have looked for the ProFTP and vsftp files on the server and do not see them. Can anyone give me some direction?
