<0> I am afraid my server might be an open relay. <0> I thought I had safeguarded against this, but apparently not. <0> what's a good way to secure the server? <0> qmail is launched like this: csh -cf '/var/qmail/rc &' \ tcpserver -x /etc/tcp.smtp.cdb -u 7770 -g 2108 0 smtp /var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd & <1> Hi all. This has been giving me a real headache.. I can't install the QMAILQUEUE patch because I'm working on a Virtuozzo/Plesk system and the qmail source for their setup isn't available. Does anyone know of an alternative to that patch that does essentially the same thing?
<1> I guess I could write my own version of qmail-queue but.. that would be a lot of work <1> Or rather, a replacement qmail-queue that sends that sends the email to the real qmail-queue when I'm done with it. <2> hi. anyone knows if is there a workaround for qmail-smtp (with auth) to work behind a cisco pix firewall with fixup smtp turned on? <3> anyone use horde/imp? <3> how do i make imp handle all my authentication? i dont want to have to log into horde and then have to type my username and p*** again for imp <2> kos, look in the imp configuration <2> autenticatio method, or something like this <2> kos: i have configured mine in this mode: horde setup -> authentication -> Let a horde application handle authentication, and then he application which is providing authentication -> imp <2> then i have defined an imap server into servers.php, and now i'm logging in to all horde directly with credentials of this imap server <4> hi <5> does anyone know how to tap outgoing mail? <5> ? <5> I found qmail-tap patch, but I need try another way. <6> hello, does anyone know if there is a limit for bcc adresses ? <7> I've just installed qmail-1.03 with the qmailqueue patch on OpenBSD 3.7 (w/daemontools & ucspi-tcp), and it "works", but when I look at the headers, qmail seems to be writing the headers improperly... <7> ...I'll see "Recieved: from $hostname (n.n.n.n) by 0 with SMTP...never putting my hostname in.. <8> ok....i have recently setup dspam/qmail on a new mail server.....however, for dspam to work i have to add a .qmail file for every domain on my server <8> is there a way that i can default .qmail file for all domains with the dspam info in it? <7> I was trying to get qmail-scanner working; when I test it via the provided test script, the headers are written properly..any ideas?
<7> r4g31: check dot-qmail(5); "If .qmail-ext doesn't exist, qmail-local will try some default .qmail files......and finally .qmail-default." <7> try putting your dspam stuff in /var/qmail/alias/.qmail-default... <8> will read on that and see if that will work <8> well....i do have one other question....if i start forwarding emails to spam@mydomain.com to train this bugger will they be deleted after it is done or will i need to clean that up periodicaly? <9> I have e-mails entering the queue from a local address. I want the queue to discard these messages, once they have entered the queue, from this particular sender. What are my options to do this? <9> Is there a method for receiving mail (through 25 or 587) into the queue, but one that would prevent the messages from being delivered. In other words, hold messages? <9> Maybe a method for suspending local delivery? <10> johnk: Turn off qmail-send <10> Or do you intend to leave remote delivery enabled, but not local? <10> I suppose you could set concurrencylocal to 0. <10> But to discard messages simply create a dot-qmail file that delivers that message to nowhere. <11> have anyone netbsd ? <11> who have run mailman ? <12> wanted to run mine down once or twice, does that count? <11> but you sussefuly set it up ? <12> never tried to <11> mMm <11> qmail need some compilation for mailman ? <9> Bradipo : I decided to take another non-qmail approach to my situation. <9> However, my best solution was qmail-qfilter
