<JamieWolf> Okay I solved the problem.
<JamieWolf> Kernel was: 2.6.14.4
<JamieWolf> Updated to 2.6.19.1 and now it works
<JamieWolf> OS is Debian Sarge
<supa_user> odd, but good
<JamieWolf> Found this site http://linux-bg.exco.net/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=10;t=13766
<JamieWolf> there the problem isn't solved, but I think sendfile has something to do with the kernel, so i tried updating. And voila it works
<nuex> hi
<nuex> i'm having problems with proftpd-ldap getting index_param failed errors.
<nuex> I can use the same info in proftpd.conf in ldapsearch and get results but I still can't get proftpd-ldap authentication to work
<nuex> any ideas?
<nuex> (uid) index_param failed (18)
<nuex> thats the error
<nuex> fixed: i needed to add "index cn,sn,uid pres,eq,sub" to slapd.conf
<zoli2k> Hi
<castaglia> hello
<zoli2k> can proftpd autodelete broken uploads?
<castaglia> no
<castaglia> since there isn't a clear definition of "broken"
<castaglia> if you're using the HiddenStores directive, you can get something like that, in conjunction with DeleteAbortedStores
<zoli21> hmm, interesting. Thank you. You saved me a lot of time
<DukGalNamu_work> strange...
<DukGalNamu_work> a logged in user can upload a file to their root folder... but can't seem to move a file to the root folder...
<DukGalNamu_work> (ie from a public folder
<DukGalNamu_work> )
<DukGalNamu_work> anyone know why?
<DukGalNamu_work> it's... quiet in here....
<DukGalNamu_work> too quiet
<DukGalNamu_work> grrr.... for some reason persons that authenticate can't move files around....
<dan__t> What are the errors that you see?
<sharpie> DukGalNamu_work, there isnt a 'move' in particular, its a copy, and then a delete I believe, might want to look at permissions
<sharpie> dan__t, OT - ever get php worked out?
<dan__t> Yeah, got it to work.
<zoli2k> I have an anonymous account with upload rights and I need to add an admin account for the same directory with write and delete rights. It is possible to do in proftpd config?
<zoli2k> I am noob, sorry for dumy question.
<dan__t> Sure is, and there are examples of it in the original proftpd.conf file.
<zoli2k> I installed on gentoo and the proftpd.conf.distrib file contains only instructions for anonymous account.
<sharpie> zoli2k, if this is your first time with proftpd, you will (and should) fight this first one through. There should be *enough* examples on the site and also http://www.castaglia.org/proftpd/
<zoli2k> sharpie: thx
<zoli2k> I was not sure, if my problem is related to the proftpd configuration or to the user rights under linux. thank you for the fast response
