<1> Yay :D
<14> hey guys
<1> Only GwaiLo gets my special welcome.
<1> Everyone else has to **** it up :P
<13> hehe
<14> I was wondering, is PEAR necessary if you're just doing MySQL connections?
<1> How was holidays, GwaiLo?
<1> jbrimble: Nope -- php.net/mysql
<12> heh... well i havn't seen GwaiLo for a while as well i felt kind of jeolous with that into
<15> good morning...
<12> intro*
<14> So PEAR should only be considered if you're possibly changing Database managers in the future?
<13> zircu: so how come you didn't give me that sort of intro as well ? :)
<13> kuja: was awesome... I can't wait to get back to .th
<1> jbrimble: PEAR DBA's shouldn't be considered at all.
<10> haha, I just told the secretary I promoted myself to CTO. She asked what that is and I said "chief torture officer"
<1> GwaiLo: Take me :(
<12> it is late for me.. and am trying to recover from the last blast of stuff here
<14> kuja, why?
<13> kuja: if you want to meet me there... more than happy for you to come along and share the apartment etc. come scuba diving :)
<1> GwaiLo: Cool, but that involves saving money! :(
<1> GwaiLo: Someday, maybe. Definitely :)
<13> kuja: thailand is cheap as ****... if you can afford the flight there, you're sweet... everything is cheap there
<1> GwaiLo: How much would it cost for a week trip (including possible expenses)
<1> $1000 maybe?
<1> I wouldn't imagine the flight itself to be over $500 for a round trip, maybe
<1> If so, not over $700 :P
<1> jbrimble: They all ****, in my opinion. But, that's just my opinion.
<13> kuja: $US ? depends... accomodation... maybe $US200 for the week... especially if you share an apartment with us... scuba diving and boat hire etc. is about $US80 a day.. that includes meals and stuff... and then um, food, well, food costs jack ****... a big plate of awesome pineapple is about $US0.80
<10> Guys go visit Bulgaria. The quiet!
<1> GwaiLo: Ah, sweet. Sounds cheap. Ever considered going to the Philippines?
<13> kuja: yeah... not sure when though, next trip will be thailand again... I left half my clothes in the hotel laundry ... so I need to go pick them up :)
<1> GwaiLo: I wonder if they'd keep it or throw it away :P
<13> kuja: we've spoken to one of the receptionists that's a friend of ours... it's all good :)
<1> Ah cool :)
<15> I've a big problem with the deleting of mails from a pop3 server... maybe there's somebody who knows something about that? When sending a "DELE 1" to the server, it responses with "+OK message 1 deleted". But it is still there! When connecting via telnet and doing a "DELE 1" manually, I get the same response, but then the mail is really deleted...
<16> Is it possible for the cl*** to know wich varible which contais the cl***, for example $test = new foo(); then in the foo cl***'s constructor it prints out "$test"
<16> ?
<15> btw. all other commands are working (list, stat, retr, and so on...)
<17> DevGet: no
<1> DevGet: Somewhat possible, yes.
<1> That would involve some work with $GLOBALS.
<1> But note that will only work for global variables, and not scope-local ones.
<16> kuja: ok
<16> thx
<15> Okay, maybe I should explain a bit more...: I'm connecting via php-sockets to a pop3-server. All commands like "LIST", "STAT", "TOP" and so on are working great, except one: When sending a "DELE 1" to the server, it responses with "+OK message 1 deleted". But the mail is still there. It can still be downloaded with "TOP" or "RETR"! When connecting via telnet and doing a "DELE 1" manually, I get the same response, but then the mail is really ...
<15> ... deleted... Need help please... ;)
<18> where can I find out about php/apache mutexes? I need to lock a critical region across all running instances of a particular php script.
<17> dma147: it shouldn't make a difference, but maybe its how your diconnecting, maybe the pop server is expecting QUIT or something before it commits the changes.
<15> Lomat: hmm... would be a good idea, when i also have to disconnect when connecting viea telnet and doing the DELE 1 manually... ;)
<15> Lomat: but I haven't
<19> hi..i am tryiing to instll ibwebadmin and i am getting this error...
<19> Your php installation misses the interbase support!
<19> Recompile php and configure --with-interbase[=DIR]
<19> or edit your php.ini to load interbase.so respectively interbase.dll.
<19> y?
<17> dma147: just an idea, it sould be deleted using both methods esp. since your getting the message deleted responce.
<15> Lomat: true, but it doesn't work as aspected...
