<1> barbarossa, I've checked out the syn cookie stuff and I don't think that will work for me because these are actually valid packets they're just coming to fast for my tracker to handle them and they're getting in the way of regular traffic flow.

<1> BTW, danieldg, A nice guy named William Thompson JR. on the lartc mailing list suggested I patch my kernel with the Julian Anastasov patches and my routing started working beautifully.
