<9> CHodapp: each has it's place. i think part of the problem is that it's fairly specialized software, and the people who will love it are the ones who've been doing stuff by hand, they get a program that'll do it, even if it's a pain to use, and it's easier than the "old" way.

<9> CHodapp: I've seen many software programs suffer like this tho... developers don't care about the user interface, because the users care more about it working than how it looks. it's silly, but it's reality.
<6> Skunky, some of my complaints aren't so much about the UI as things just being inconsistent or a pain and interfering with functionality

<9> CHodapp: in a closed source env, you're stuck with what they give you. i used to work for a software developer... i did the back end installs of things. the system admins would be like "why does this **** so much" and my answer was always well... we've got 3 programmers, and they only work 8 hours a day...
