<4> coldfyre: compile it with debugging enabled, then start it from gdb or enable core dumps and open one of them. I'm sure google has gdb tutorials, but unless you're going to attempt to fix it, how about trying a [different] cvs version or disabling optimizations or certain mplayer libs
