<6> hi all.. i just swaped mobo in my router/firewall and added a new nic.. now hers the problem.. i cant get 2 of the nics to work.. i dont know the exact name on them. but demg shows me that they are named. AMDtek... dmesg also shows me that the nics has: Promiscuous mode enabled. "eth 2 and eth3" i dont know what that meas.. only eht2 and 3 gets that message..

<12> I'm trying to get a SATA tape drive working. I'm using 2.6.15. I had it working under windows and linux (or at least recognized) on a machine with a piix chipset, but the machine I need it to work on has a Via chipset. It works under Windows on that system, but not linux. I used the same kernel (same boot cd) on both machines. So, i guess the problem is in the ata_via driver, but I don't know where to go from here.
