<0> Like reversed or flipped? <1> uh, where the text is the opposite colour of what is behind it <0> Well you can just select the color of the text. <0> Or do you want a border of an opposite color around your text? <1> well, its to go on somthing that is more than one colour <0> Ok so to make it more readable I normally go with a border around my text. <0> So like make the border black if my text is white.
<0> It helps it stand out. <1> ok <1> how do i do that? <0> Just make the text then drag it where you want. <0> Duplicate that text layer. <0> Make both of them expand to image size. <0> The bottom layer in the layer dialog right click and alpha to selection. <0> grow the selection by one or two pixels. <1> ah, i see <0> Drag the color for the border on to it. <0> Yeah it's pretty simple and helps a heap. <2> At0mic_PC: does anyone know of a gimp or photoshop tutorial on how to extend a surface area, i have an image with a stucco like wall that fades darker and gets smaller (perspective) from left to right and i want to make the wall longer so as to make the image wider <0> There is a clone tool. <2> At0mic_PC: yes but the wall is shaded more to the right then the left and i want to keep that shading consistent while still keeping the texture <2> any tutorial links? <0> I don't know. <0> That's a tough one. <1> gah, trying to make a readable attractive button for people to link to my site with thats only 88 x 31 is impossible! <1> are there any, like, guides or something on that? <0> Try a different font. :) <0> Well my connection just dropped so I can't even talk now... <0> Bell south ****s. <0> Search for pixel fonts. <1> well, i was hoping to use the same font i use for my main logo
<1> but i have a bad feeling "rage italic" is going to be a bad choice for such a small thing <0> Try the silk screen fonts. <0> They seem to be the most popular. <1> hmm, ok, well, i have got it looking ok, but, i forget, how do you export? <3> export? You mean save as? <1> yeah, i just found it <1> hmm, 4.7kb seems alot for an image that is only 88x31.... <1> ahh, i think i left it at 1000dpi... <4> How would one go about changing the dpi... I need a psd image in 200 dpi rather than the current 70 <5> rescale the image up <4> KomiaPoika: eh? <4> What do you mean? <6> Jaywalker: how much do you know about dpi? <4> schumaml: Not too much, never had a problem with it until now as i usually do website images. This is for a T-Shirt for my high school band and the people at the company need 200dpi <6> this setting is used to get the print size <6> for example, if you have an image that is x pixels wide and you did specify y dpi (or ppi, that's pixel/inch), you'll get it printed x/y inch wide <6> y can be change arbitrarily (in gimp, via the image->print size dialog, for example). this changes the value of the x/y fraction, of course <6> if you want it to remain constant (i.e. have the image print at the same size), you'll have to increase x as well <6> and this is done by scaling <6> scale tool, image->scale etc <5> Jaywalker: use scale image and scale it up 200/70 <5> eg 3x <4> bah... ok. So just resizing. <4> Ok, fixed :-) <5> it wont fix the resolution, but will give them enough matter to work <6> fixing the resolution is the easier part of this problem, though <6> KomiaPoika: you're probably referring to the image quality? <5> don't patronize me
