<1> SCOttlebut: If it's in stable, it's been through a lot of building already, so chances are small you'd have a problem. If you want, you could mask it off so it doesn't want to emerge. Then you could ebuild it at your leisure, and see if it compiles OK, and looks like it's going to run right. Then ebuild qmerge it, and get rid of the mask.
