<21> so from what I hear the way gentoo works is that its all based on source code so when you compile, it only creates binaries for your system architecture which causes less binary size and more effecient programs. Other distros that are binary based have support for quite a few systems which causes them to more bloated.

I am running Xubuntu right now which is Ubuntu running the xfce windows manager, its pretty responsive and fast, and the package manager is good, but there are still some problems, like not being able to delete packages because they delete dependencies automatically.
