I just checked and saw with "equery depends evolution" that gnome-base/gnome actually depends on evolution.. Does this mean that my gname package is broken once I remove evolution? what are the consequences?

<2> roger55: now I have a different problem. No Sound at all. I've compiled the kernel with ALSA support and the proper module for my soundcard (AC97). All that information comes up in kinfocenter. I've checked kmix to make sure nothing is muted or anything stupid and verified that the sound system is enabled. Did I forget to add something important?
