<0> hello, i want to ask questions on the "syntax" of the emerge command (i have read the man pages :). for example, in the man page it says "emerge [options] [action] [ebuild | tbz2file | cl*** | dependency]", how all these are combined, can sb give an example that combines multiple options and actions with an ebuild or a tbz2file or a cl*** or a dependency !!!this is the fourth time, help please :(!!!

<4> Nostur: if you know the only thing you've edited is make.conf then simply locate it in the list and enter the number that's next to it ( 1), 2), 3) etc). You'll then get a list of options to perform only on that file including merging the old and new. Using -3 when you only have to merge a handful of files would be a pita
