<lorien420> Using FC5, I recently did a yum update. In fact, I used NetworkManager to get a wireless connection working with bcm43xx. After updating, NetworkManager and Wireless ***istant no longer believe that bcm43xx is a wireless adapter.

<mutk> Yes, LInux and Fedora or Red Hat usually does detect the floppy automatically. Some Asus motherboards have weird chipset that seems to trip up the detection. Like may p4TE ..

<mutk> kbrooks, In a Terminal type dmesg |less Hit the / key and type floppy, and it will search for the word floppy. The kernel should be announcing in dmesg that it detected the floppy and loads the driver..
