<1> so well .. if i try to uninstall nvidia drivers via the NVIDIA*.run --uninstall "trick" .. i have to do a init 3 first - right ? then i edit xorg.conf (actually i have no idea what but i need to ive been told), then i shutdown machine, and THEN i physically change gfx cards !?

I've now tried everything to get this FC4 dvd to boot, I tried chcking all the hardware, running memtest, changing my usb keyboard to a ps2 one, trying the cd1 of both the 32-bit and the x86_64, disabling HT, doing all kinds of modifications to the bios, and finally I found a solution. The only thing I had to do was to type something randon at the bootscreen [asdafgda] and then start it as usual after this
