<7> well anyway, I used the fwcutter to get the firmware, and the card appears to work fine, but when I tried to connect to a network secured by WEP, even upon entering the right hex key (I set the key type to 40/128 bit hex), it refused to connect -- merely said 'waiting for WEP key' and then disconnected.

<13> vluther: dunno if the nvidia drivers have been published, but you should get graphical mode to at least work by using the "vesa" driver, which is a kind of fall-back/fail-safe graphical driver
