<12> okay, very strange question, not neccessarily about debian. I was using windows, and for some reason, programs just started randomly closing or malfunctioning. I figured it was just windows, so I went ahead and installed linux. However, now linux apps have started just... dying. It's a completely different hard drive, and I've done several memory tests which all tested good. ... any ideas, anybody...?

<5> brianski, the housing and hardware used by dell will not stand up to constant use. The connection ports, screws, and hardware are not for constant use. The pads also develop holes is used to excess. The model that I purchased for my daughters 3 years ago were top of the line Inspirons and I expected better wear from them.
