<12> hi everybody, I have made the kernel in debian way, but now I have recently seen that I dont have CIFS FS, and what I did, is 'make menuconfig' then make modules and make modules_install, but as I said, the kernel was compiled in debian way, and insmod didn't work, so how should I implement the CIFS module without recompiling the kernel?

<17> Hello! I'm running Debian Etch on a Gigabyte GA-K8N51PVMT-9 with GeForce 6150. Does anyone know if it is possible to run X with anything else than vesa? I don't want to install the proprietary nvidia drivers.
<18> I just added the gnome disk mounter applet to my top panel, and as soon as I did, it prompted a dialogue, which then freezes and forces a restart. It reloads and then does the same thing, rendering my GNOME panel uesless. How can I remove the disk mounter app from loading when my menu does?
