<6> heh, that was fun. 2.6.16-1 kernel panicked, the etch cd rescue mode baulks whilst using vim. my lilo.conf was good, 2.6.15 boots, same "module mouse doesnt exist" error, then my wifi card modules had been purged somewhere along the line..
