<0> mtdj: that makes sense because it's not at all possible that the bug was fixed in one of those updates that you're not doing.... <1> Evolution: s/poss/imposs/ <0> something like that. <0> oops
<0> </sarcasm> <0> forgot to close the tag :-P <2> tag/my mouth <3> Evolution, ha ha but the thing is I've already did all the update before and the problem still existed <0> mtdj: so far, you've given us absolutely no reason to think it's anything more than some crack induced misconfiguration on your end. <0> mtdj: the fact that it took you 3 DAYS to listen to my advice and check your logs isn't helping your case at all. <3> Evolution, OK (but I didn't know what I was looking for in the logs) I'm going to get the latest and all the updates from centos "4.3" and see what happens <0> mtdj: be sure to provide specific package information and log information. otherwise... crack induced misconfig. <4> does somebody has experience with cluster suite? <5> ChiTo: some, whats up? <4> mmcgrath, i have set up a cluster with 4 nodes, and one failover domain for a httpd service, but my question is how can i test a succesful failover for relocate the service, because when i stop the service manually the clustat detects that the service has failed and then try to make a /etc/init.d/httpd status and gets a return code 3 and immediatly try to stop the service, but i stopped the service manually and when the /etc/init.d/httpd stop try <4> to do it again it gets a return code 1 so it cant stop the service and it says me "require intervention" or something so, what would be the problem? <5> Are you using ipvsadm/nanny for the balancer? <4> mmcgrath, no just the cluster suite, i will install LVS on a director but that is indepedent <5> hmmm <5> ChiTo: I've never used clustat. I've always just used scripts on the director.
<4> mmcgrath, oh ok, just load balancing, i want to make failover too with the cluster suite it really rules <5> in my example (in your setup) I'd just have all 5 boxes in the mix all the time, when one of them fails nanny would take them out of the farm. <5> But thats probably not quite what you're looking for. <4> mmcgrath, no the concept is a little different, thank you anyway <6> ChiTo: pull the power cord or alternatively the network cable? <4> donavan, i just down the service, would be nice to make a shutdown? <6> are your failures always nice? <6> a while loop with kill randomly killing services comes to mine <6> s/services/processes <6> or you could give Evolution root and have him admin your box <4> i thought that just with the shutdown of the service suppose to start the service on another node <4> i have tried to send a SIGSTOP to the service and a SIGCONT <4> even a kill -11 to force a SEGFAULT <7> erm... I didn't see any options for dig to provide just nameserver records. Anyone know if this is possible? <7> er wtf. <8> dig ns doma.in.
