<0> i have a wifi connection on my pc that connects to the internet that i would like to give access to the nic on same machine <1> i got a problem how can i detremine in windows which programs will run on startup and which not <2> msconfigx <2> er <2> msconfig <1> thx <1> too late :) <3> i have dual display, is it possible to have windows logon screen for dual display ? <4> yes <3> heya thuryn <3> we meet again lol <3> still nixxin i trust <3> So how do i get my windows logon screen to span accross both tfts ? <4> yup. linuxin' right now (though about to head out to work) <4> i don't know how to actually do it, though i've seen people in here talk about it. <4> but the way they did it, there were only two ways:
<4> 1) one big desktop, and the login window shows up on one screen <4> 2) two separate desktops, with two separate login windows <4> on two separate screens <3> hmmz <4> based on that, unless someone chimes in, your best bet is still probably google. :/ <4> sorry dude <3> I wonder if it will work if i change the logon screen to a network logon, then just set a dual display background, i'd be happy with that tbh. <3> anyways <4> (or maybe #windows) <3> ill catch you when your back <3> ok <3> solved it, for those running dual display and want dual display logon screen, <3> i used tweakui, and changed to network logon (no welcome screen) <3> works nice enough for me <5> ?? silence <6> hush you <5> ?? hush <7> <5> ;) <6> go blow something up. :) <5> there <4> brb (terrorism) <6> ouch, that's 25 bucks gone <5> blew your carboy up and made a mess with your brew <6> errr, and 6 gallons of zinfandel right now <5> ;) <5> at least it's less you have to drink that way :) <5> who let bone outa his cage ? <6> ha. HAVE to drink. yeah, that's it, I'm forced to have allt hat wine and beer around and drink it. ;) <8> lol...sup Mill <5> well .. ya gotta drink it or dump it to make more .... that or buy more materials ;) <5> lack of sleep caused by insominia and days not meshing with demands ... how bout you ? ;) <8> getting ready to enjoy the weather...gonna be 90 today <6> 2-3 months will be peak of how much wine I ahve around and slowly taper off until I buy house in 2 years(tapering off so there's less to move). then, after I buy house and build my wine cellar, then will increase how much i keep around again <5> heh 90 too hot for this early :/ <9> hi all? where to install the full language package ? so it wont appeart a lot of weird words when we are visiting some japan and china website <5> bofh` ... you gonna build it a temp controlled unit then ? <6> yep. gonna either convert a walk iin closet, or build area myself. insulate walls, put exterior doors on it to keep air in, and get a breezair(think taht's brand) or similar wine cellar ac unit <6> keep temp and humidity proper <5> that's right humidity for the corks.. <5> hehe .. taps in the kitchen too ? ;p <6> yeah, humidity is to keep the corks properly moistenec, bbut not to be too humid and damage racks or mess with labels <6> think it's 6070%, but don't remember for sure <6> 60-70% that is <10> i was thinking of growing cron and see how many Gallons per acre i could brew up :) <6> heh, yeah, may do taps/kegerator in kitchen, that we'll see. :) <5> ahhh come on i'd like to see you get 6070% humid... lots of water your wine would be swimming in down there <5> ;) <8> I had some home made wine...once.....kicked my azz <6> the wine cellar I like because it's really not that hard to do, but make sa huge difference in sotrage quality. but the construction side is easy. vapor barrier, insulation, and greenboard for walls. exterior doors hung instead of interior doors, and then mount the ac unit between a coiupla studs <5> ya <6> things like running plumbing for taps, that takes a bit more work. the wine cellar is just working a screw gun <5> ya <5> not all that much to building a cooler ... redneck style <5> ;) <6> but yeah, will probably do at least some plumbing. hoping to put some kind of sink inm that room too, so will ahve to find room taht shares a wall with bathroom/kitchen/etc so I can pull off the water. all of these plans of course are very sketchy, as can't make any real plans until I buy a house
<6> just going through various ideas, and as important, the owrk required for each one, so I can scratch ones taht are beyond my ability <5> without dreams .. we are nothing <5> :s <6> indeed <5> so you looking at a proper fridge unit instead of a window ac ? <6> yeah, going to get one of ones actually designed for wine/beer storage <5> ahh <5> I looked into a couple weeks ago building a small walk in freezer :s <5> find any good.. independant units. . where they do not wana sell me a whole pack ? <6> that's actually most expensive part of the project <5> ya <5> but... your delivery can get expensive.. depends how many runs and stuff I notice <6> www.iwawine.com sells wine/beer specific ones. but those won't get cold enoughf or what you want. and I don't know how their prices are, just looked there to get idea of capacities/brands, will price shop when whole project actually happens <6> the wine cellar type ones are pretty small/simple, as most work like window ac unit, excep ttheyr're just venting to next room <6> or outside, depending on setup, but think msot are meant for interior only <6> http://www.iwawine.com/orstore/coolingunits.aspx?txtsearch=Rurs651 <5> hrmf <6> as i said, not cheap <6> those also cool up to 1500 cubic feet though, which ***uming 8 ft ceiling, is still 187 sq feet. bigger than my bedroom. :) <6> thinking more like walk-in closet size, so probalby 400 cubic feet or so <5> heh ... cheap compared to the loss in wine of a properly stocked cellar <5> ;) <6> and tha tsize should still let me do 500 bottles or so in proper racks, if memory servers <6> and 5-6 cases of beer, give or take. I had it all figured out at one time using their rack kits(pretty standard sizes there) and my current closet for an idea of floorspace <5> heh <5> how many kegs tapped for route to tap in kitchen ? ;) <6> heh <6> what'd be ideal there is if kitchen shared wall with garage like my friends place. Could have whole rack built against shared wall then(well, cabinet, want it insulated). could put like 6 kegs, co2/N2 bottles underneath, and plumb it all into kitchen, and only use up like 10 sq ft of floor space. :) <6> the plumbing would just have to go through one wall, and have tap setup on other side then in kitchen. :) <5> mmm <5> that'd be nice. .. hell of alot less tubing to clean <6> that'd make for some mean parties <5> yea <6> and yeah, when your'e flushing system, either just regular cleaning, or changing out styles, would be just a few feet to clean <5> hehe <6> course, I'll probably never do that one <5> tubing aint fun to clean <6> I don't drink enough beer to be worth it. might do an interior cabinet with a coupla 3 gallon corny kegs though <5> convert a fridge ;) <6> could do that in a small ccabinet. coupla corny kegs, an air tank, taps up top. get som enice old style taps off ebay <6> yeah, that's the common practice. small fridge, pick a model without freezer section, and build it in there <5> yup <6> or just buy one of the prebuilt kegerators <5> yup <6> that 6 keg system would be bad-*** though. also be on list of things no wife would ever let you build. :) <5> I want one of those magic guns ;) <5> erm <5> wonder gun <5> iirc the name <5> push a button ... let it flow <6> heh <11> Anyone know a place where i can buy a PC game controller that looks like a NES controller or an adapter to plug NES controllers into my pc? <10> best buy/newegg <10> comp usa <11> Newegg sells em? <4> hey, you guys may have seen this as well: <4> if anyone in here recognizes the MAC address 00:00:00:00:FF:FF, please let me know <12> thats not a mac addy <4> sure it is <9> hi all? where to install the full language package ? so it wont appeart a lot of weird words when we are visiting some japan and china website <4> 00:00:00 is registered to Xerox <4> 00:FF:FF is a valid suffix <4> but i agree that it looks crafted, and i'm seeing it in a location where users aren't usually that smart <4> so i'm wondering if there's some software (like LaBrea) that changes the MAC address to this value <4> example: enabling Bridging changes the MAC address to an LAA. enabling NLB uses an LAA MAC for the balanced services. LaBrea uses the MAC 00:00:FF:FF:FF:FF for everything. VMWare uses 00:50:56:xx:xx:xx. <4> but I've never seen 00:00:00:00:FF:FF that I can recall, and google isn't helping much. <12> mac addys are genrally stored in hardware <12> you cant edit them afaik <11> whats the best NES emulator for pc? <4> fuxy, Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections <4> right-click on Local Area Network Connection <4> click Properties for the hardware interface <4> go to the Advanced tab <4> there's usually a "Hardware address" or "MAC address" or "Physical Address" setting. VERY easy to set.
