<^-Lord-^> take 1 cup celery and add 2 tomatos.. heat and let stand <-- video
<^-Lord-^> combine all of it
<reyeZZo> lord, using nero, it's asking me to select an image file that ends with the .IMA ... the image file that "floppy image creator 5" is producing is a .IMG file
<^-Lord-^> you get a plate of food all cooked up etc OR you get a movie with audio
<^-Lord-^> reyeZZo: so rename the img to ima
<SvX> I'm just talking about audio
<SvX> not picture
<SvX> just 16bit 44.1
<Janger> yes
<SvX> that means you just sample the amplitude into 2^16 combinations
<Janger> reezzo use the one that came with nero
<SvX> you ***ign the amplitude to whatever combination its closest to
<^-Lord-^> in truth I never understood how computer science related in any way shape or form to the principles of audio
<SvX> you sample in 44.1kh increments. so you end up with 16bits representing the amplitude of each little slice in time
<^-Lord-^> not a slice IN time
<^-Lord-^> a slice at any given time
<SvX> well the slices are in steady time increments
<SvX> so you get a stream of binary in 16bit packs
<^-Lord-^> when you start talking about frequency, you're talking about the number of those slices over a period of time
<^-Lord-^> which would be your given time
<SvX> but I'm saying the audio data itself isn't carrying out any instructions
<SvX> so how could it be an algorithm
<SvX> its the d/a that has the algorithm taking it into analog
<^-Lord-^> you're saying wrong
<^-Lord-^> of course it's carrying out instructions
<^-Lord-^> you think binary is not instructions?
<^-Lord-^> a sequence of binary code is in fact a set of instructions to either form, perform, or create a bit of data
<El_Guapo`> lord is smert
<Janger> he's turning me on
<Janger> got to pick my mommy up form the airport tommorrow
<Janger> havent seen her in a while
<Janger> which means thank god ill miss my stupid meeting tommorrow at work
<^-Lord-^> that's gross
<^-Lord-^> didn't know you were Oedipal
<Janger> ..
<Janger> shes comin here to surprise my sister for her bridal shower.
<^-Lord-^> so that means you're going to try to score on her???
<^-Lord-^> damn talk about keeping it in the family
<Janger> how rude.
<^-Lord-^> well you're the one into it
<^-Lord-^> j/k man
<Webbie> lol
<Webbie> hahaha
<Janger> :**[
<^-Janger-> dammit
<reyeZZo> yeah, LorD, to no avail, it's not working :S
<reyeZZo> it's rec'ing the boot cd on reboot
<reyeZZo> but
<reyeZZo> even tells me at the beginning, Dell Vid bios flashing utility and what not
<^-Lord-^> man
<reyeZZo> but... then tells me theres a problem writing from drive A
<^-Lord-^> can you not boot to floppy?
<reyeZZo> or to it
<reyeZZo> no i can't
<^-Lord-^> can you boot to usb?
<reyeZZo> well, i can connect a usb external HD
<^-Lord-^> never mind
<^-Lord-^> is this windowsxp?
<reyeZZo> havent tried tho'
<reyeZZo> yeah
<^-Lord-^> ok do this
<ironpig> Hey all, I have a complicated question I think, I had a virus problem and had a hard drive crash, I could not export information I need from outlook express before this happened, anyone know where outlook express writes its data, such as contact information? Like what folder? I think I might be able to get the data off of the HD using one of those data recovery apps.
<^-Lord-^> make a folder on the hard drive called 'flash'
<^-Lord-^> put the flash files in there
<^-Lord-^> all of them
<ironpig> I just don't know where to look
<reyeZZo> i was told i just couldnt copy the contents of the virtual A since ide be missing bootsector info and what not
<reyeZZo> right..
<^-Lord-^> then reboot the PC. just before it loads windows, hit f8 and boot to safe mode command prompt only
<reyeZZo> done already
<^-Lord-^> then go to the folder and run the flash yourself that way
<reyeZZo> ah
<reyeZZo> yeah doable i guess
<reyeZZo> brb
<^-Lord-^> ironpig: loof for all *.idx, *.wab files. in the folder that you find the idx files, copy everything out of there
<^-Lord-^> loof == look
<ironpig> :)
<ironpig> thanks
<CyberGeek> :)
<^-Lord-^> also get pab files
<ironpig> ok
<^-Lord-^> you weill know it's them
<^-Lord-^> they're going to be like outbox.idx
<^-Lord-^> **** like that
<^-Lord-^> http://www.100bucksbabes.com/gallery.phtml?owner=twistys&image=http://content1.100bucksbabes.com/379/13.jpg is it just me or doesn't the patch of hair look like a third hole?
<ironpig> this is such a mess...
<ironpig> what are the chances that an upgrade to SP2 caused this nightmare? I would guess it was a virus or somethng nasty, but I did just make the move to sp2
<^-Lord-^> sp2 wouldn't have done that
<^-Lord-^> your best bet might be to do a repair install
<ironpig> tried that
<^-Lord-^> all settings will remain intact
<^-Lord-^> a full repair install?
<Janger> thats a clean hole.
<^-Lord-^> or repair from the console?
<ironpig> with the installation cd? yah, the blue screen thing?
<ironpig> then id drops you into dos
<ironpig> is = it
<ironpig> id = it
<ironpig> heh
<^-Lord-^> no
<^-Lord-^> that's not a repair install
<^-Lord-^> that a repair console
<^-Lord-^> a repair install totally reinstalls windows but keeps previous programs and settings
<ironpig> ah, whats a repair insatall?
<^-Lord-^> ?? repairinstall
<CyberGeek> repairinstall == http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315341 | http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic8356.html
<Treval> Mmmhm.
