<5> often I am not permitted to delete a directory or a file in XP because it reports it 'is in use' by some other program, when in fact no other prog I see is using the directory/file. How can I fix this very annoying deficiency in XP? Is there no such thing as kill -9 in XP?

<7> He's installing from the hard drive, not the CD-ROM drive. To do that you copy the i386 folder off the drive and then run the winnt.exe program inside of it

<9> hi everyone, i'm having truble installing windows xp pro. on my toshiba qosmio g20.. after loading the necessary files for installation, i choose "install win xp", then an error shows up: "can't find any hard disk drive", how can i install the RAID drivers, i don't have a disk sation..
