<7> it looks like I fried the permissions on a NTFS folder under windows xp. I can't edit the permissions on it either via "Sharing and Security." It only says "you do not have permission to view the current permission settings for xx." Any ideas how I can wipe/reset the permissions on this folder?
<8> Why does everyone use Windows in their home? I just realized that I don't do anything really Windows-specific on my own XP Pro box, so I'd probably be better off with a Linux/Windows dualboot along with my Linux server.
<9> heh, and you're just realizing this now, GenNMX? :P
<10> 1. Windows is much easier to install and configure for an average or below average user 2. There are many more "every day" applications for Windows than Linux 3. Most people use at home what they use at the office
<10> 4. Most linux users only use linux so they can feel cool, not because it is "better" or "faster" or "cheaper"
<10> unless it is a server
<1> no! you're lying! linux makes me cool!
