<modnar> hi i bought a firewire cable for my laptop . i have since bought a desktop and the computer has a different port for firewire.. its bigger than the one on the laptop... is my cable useless now or is there an adapter? why do they make 2 different ports?

<aowzone> hey guys, desperately looki nfor some help here....when im installing XP pro the computer was freezing at the 9 minute mark (saving your settings), i took out all pci cards except the video card, and now it just reboots and restarts setup at this point
