<da__> hi... at the store today I was looking at the xp pro upgrade for $199, and it says it requires an install of an older windows and/or the cd.... I have a purchased copy of 98, but do I have to install it for the upgrade? Or will it just ask for me to insert the CD?

<jplibre> Hmm. I need an application that will monitor all processes that start up and log them. I have some sort of rogue app that is starting and stealing the window focus and then going away, but I can't figure out what it is. Nothing shows up under any virus scanners or spyware
<jplibre> Either that or something that keeps new processes from spawning. I'm a unix sysadmin, I don't do a lot with windows other than play games, so I don't know what's out there for windows xp
