<dobberz> so i cant tell ya
<Perfekt> idiot
<[M]ax> uh?
<Perfekt> what cums 2 ur mind when u read it?

<Perfekt> not what u think he means by it
<[M]ax> Perfekt, stop putting bad images in my head
<[M]ax> ;)
<z1ggy> it's not open to interpretation
<dobberz> did i get it right?
<z1ggy> a computer engineer is a computer engineer :P
<dobberz> max....
<Perfekt> oi
<dobberz> i think of making comp hardware
<z1ggy> impefekt! :)
<Perfekt> whats it mean when you drinka whole bunch all at once
<Perfekt> and a lil later
<[M]ax> dobberz that is an incorrect unsumption
<Perfekt> you feel
<Perfekt> i dunno
<Perfekt> not u
<dobberz> ok....let elaborate
<dobberz> oops
<dobberz> explain
<^-Lord-^> perfekt... how's the rice mobile?
<[M]ax> computer engineering has nothing, what so ever to do with building and maintaining computer systems
<Perfekt> i are ignoring u
<^-Lord-^> lol
<dobberz> ok....well, its got math
<[M]ax> unless you want to design pcb's for 3 years
<z1ggy> dobberz: go here for a description: http://ece.njit.edu/academics/undergraduate/bscoe.php
<[M]ax> yes math and pcb's
<dobberz> wait up
<dobberz> your full of it max
<^-Lord-^> Bob Barker and Adam Sandler duking it out in this movie
<^-Lord-^> hilarious
<z1ggy> "Computer engineers make the hardware and software design trade-offs inherent in computing today."
<dobberz> thats what someone with a CE degree explained to me
<dobberz> ok
<dobberz> i understand
<[M]ax> brb gotta check somethin
<z1ggy> you check the site, dobberz?
<dobberz> ya, interesting
<dobberz> well I got a colledge education to blow
<z1ggy> you can also check out electrical engeering too
<z1ggy> if you want a broader base
<dobberz> and ive allready knocked out some of the basic cl***es so i need to pick a degree
<z1ggy> Electrical Engineering is a diversified profession concerned with the design and operation of the electrical devices and systems required by our technological society.
<z1ggy> http://ece.njit.edu/academics/undergraduate/bsee.php
<dobberz> CE is a defenite desk job?
<dobberz> or not necesarrily?
<z1ggy> desk job? it's a team based job in labs
<^-Lord-^> dude... get a law degree or something
<dobberz> man.....i used my colledges little program about discovering job fields and didnt figure out much
<dobberz> Lord...i hear that a lot
<^-Lord-^> if you're getting a free ride, make it COUNT
<dobberz> not free....4 1/2 years in the marines
<dobberz> two wars lol
<dobberz> def not free
<dobberz> but ya.....i keep hearing law is the way to go
<^-Lord-^> so you got GI bill
<dobberz> ya Lord
<dobberz> im so glad, geez
<^-Lord-^> with a law degree, you can go criminal justice, attorney, FBI, Law Enforcement, Forensics....
<dobberz> id have to re enlist
<^-Lord-^> sky's the limit in that filed
<^-Lord-^> field
<dobberz> or ****in flip burgers for the rest of my life
<^-Lord-^> all or one
<dobberz> but i think thats the gr*** is greener syndrome lord
<dobberz> cause nobody that tells me that is in law themselves
<^-Lord-^> oh man
<^-Lord-^> I wish
<dobberz> ya....big field huh
<travisb> anyone here have an ipod ?
<dobberz> criminal justice are shiesters
<dobberz> screw those guys
<^-Lord-^> not always
<dobberz> i wouldnt want to choose a field thats gonna mess with my conciense
<^-Lord-^> if you think there's something wrong, join them and make a change
<dobberz> i allready got my far share of that in the marines
<[M]ax> dobberz goto microsoft camp and sit at a desk the rest of your life then
<^-Lord-^> indeed
<^-Lord-^> if you don't want to use your energy wisely, then waste it
<dobberz> no.....im hearing you actually
<dobberz> i definetly wouldnt want to be a trial lawyer
<[M]ax> computer engineering is NOT taking computers apart
<^-Lord-^> I would get a degree in law, take the bar. then I would choose my path. you could even be a lawyer for a major copr
<^-Lord-^> corp
<dobberz> but i know thats a small percentage anyway
<dobberz> ya Max.....ive figured that out
<[M]ax> :P
<[M]ax> well you was telling me i was full of it earlyer
<dobberz> heres why Im a little hesitant of law :
<z1ggy> if you're looking for straight up maintencing computers
<z1ggy> go into IT
<Perfekt> hey
<Perfekt> that me
<z1ggy> if you're looking to design and build new hardware... you want CE
<dobberz> actually...**** i dont know, maybe ill look into it
<Perfekt> i am it for the army
<[M]ax> if your looking at it set aside 12 years
<dobberz> no.....im just saying all jobs are based on your ability to adjust to the actual work
<dobberz> that , that is nothing new
<[M]ax> Perfekt whats envolved with it and the army?
<^-Lord-^> I am in IT. I don't simply do it to maintain computers. I am responsible for keeping an entire company functioning in that capacity
<Perfekt> o dimmp
<^-Lord-^> Max: same as anywhere else
<dobberz> even the infantry is like that, u can make it through bootcamp
<[M]ax> ;)
<Perfekt> it ratarded
<^-Lord-^> she's pasted
<dobberz> but if your an idiot, u wont know what the hell your doin in the fleet
<Perfekt> a boot?
<z1ggy> lord: you're also the first blamed if there is even a tiny problem with one computer :P
<^-Lord-^> yeah but stuff like that bounces off you
<z1ggy> it's just ignorance of people
<dobberz> hmmm.....i might have to look into law
<z1ggy> if they understood how fragile this stuff is
<^-Lord-^> given enough time, they realize that you're there to fix the problems that the real idiots have broken
<^-Lord-^> they know who to blame
<z1ggy> heh
<z1ggy> exactly
<z1ggy> well hopefully you build the network so it's hard to break by stupid users
<z1ggy> but you'll always have a few clever ones who can
<dobberz> Max....why would you reccomend it over CE?
<dobberz> whats the main reason?
<^-Lord-^> I am also notorious for writing up the reports that talk about what actually happened and why the user didn't see their files. "User was not aware that tehre was a scroll bar at the bottom of the screen so they could scroll to the side and see the other files that didn't fit into their initial view."
<[M]ax> lots more fun, flaming ideot users who cant be bothered to rtfm
<Perfekt> u make thing with others moneys
<z1ggy> lord: you have to write up incident reports?
<Perfekt> serialzzzzzzzzzzzz for us
<z1ggy> who signs off on them?
<^-Lord-^> only if the problem gets escalated
<^-Lord-^> and then it's only to the CEO
<^-Lord-^> he's the one I answer to
<z1ggy> ahh but does the CEO actually understand anything you write?
<z1ggy> they're pretty much brain dead in this area as are the rest of the users
<^-Lord-^> yeah he understands
<^-Lord-^> that's why i still have a job
<z1ggy> :P
<^-Lord-^> he knows I am very capable
<^-Lord-^> that's also why he hired me
<z1ggy> how long you been there fore?
<z1ggy> for
<^-Lord-^> almost 5 years
<z1ggy> ahh
