<0> and its illegal for them if they dont inform me theyre spying on me right
<1> well... spying is different :)
<1> But that's not how you would get caught stealing mp3s...
<0> like kazaa or morpheus p2p programs or bittorrent.. thats stealing ?
<1> yup!
<1> but of course there is legal stuff on there, but mostly they're used to distrobute illegal material
<0> but how would they know ur using those and dling something
<1> By your IP address
<1> god
<0> youre*
<0> they listen to my ip address ??
<1> IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET CAUGHT, DON'T ****ING STEAL... IT'S THAT SIMPLE. END OF CONVERSATION
<0> i know
<1> I am answering no more of your questions.
<0> well if theyre strict, shouldnt pr0n be illegal ?
<1> If you're under 18 (or whatever the legal age is) you're breaking the law to view any porn.

<1> If you're over 18, porn is perfectly legal
<1> unless your again accessing pay sites without paying or something
<1> no more
<1> don't do illegal stuff, you should know if it's illegal or not, and if you're not sure... it's illegal
<0> well if under 18 people say they are, who knows
<2> you
<0> i mean if people that are under 18 say theyre over.. they can watch pr0n on the net.. but isnt that not good
<1> god go away
<1> like ****ing unplug your internet and sit in a corner
<2> take this somplace else
<0> ok
<3> simpman: accessing pay sites without paying or something has nothing to do with porn :)
<3> even if it's a porn site :)
<1> it's illegal... that's the point.
<3> true
<0> i would say a friend let me borrow his login information for a day
<4> I'm sure they'd just take your word for that rather than check your comptuer and isp recoreds
<5> yo! anyone know what software is causing this error http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/555/sms01a3fx.png and http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/5569/sms01b0mx.png ? i am using Administrator account to run the program.
<6> windows is causing that error
<6> next question please
<3> hehe
<4> I'd take a wild guess and say that program is keeping you from installing games, etc
<3> like an office anti-game app
<7> Hi, I'm having trouble with my HDD again, apparently after a few chkdsk and whatnot, stuff got corrupted - the problem now is: I can't start "Network Connections" and a few other services. It reports "Error 126: The specified module could not be found" - Google spits out nothing at all about such an issue. Any advise?
<5> DaCapn: i thought so. but i couldn't find anything in the service registry. so it must be something embedded into the kernel?
<3> fx__: are you exiting cleanly ?
<7> Dry-ice: exiting from what?
<3> I should say logging out and rebooting
<1> If I were you, fx, I'd reinstall windows :)
<6> stz it should've been abundantly clear that I was making no contribution to you solving your issue
<1> Either that or try the recovery that's on the XP install CD
<7> Windows? chkdsk? It's all clean, files for those services are probably corrupt, but reinstalling is PITA so I'd rather figure out which files those are.
<1> but that usually doesn't work
<5> DaCapn: well, i thought it was windows too
<1> DaCapn: Those are not Windows errors.
<1> They seem to be caused by a program called AUTODRIVER.exe
<7> Also, Recovery on the windows CD, what's it called? Or do you mean the "ARS" that you get prompted for on install?
<6> I was being a ****ing troll, get over it guys
<6> damn
<3> stz: do you have quota's on ?
<1> Probably some restriction-based software
<6> Dry-ice seemed to be the only person to get it
<3> get what? is it on my face ?
<5> simpman: yes, it occured when you run that program. but the question is what is monitoring and preventing that program from running
<5> simpman: it also occurs when running many other programs
<5> Dry-ice: not sure but don't think so. i am not at the computer now
<1> In any case, it's not windows... if you can reinstall windows... do that.
<1> CLEAN install
<5> simpman: can't do that. i just need to find out what is doing that and just disable it temporarily in order to run autodriver.exe
<1> ok then...
<1> regenerate that error
<1> ctrl+alt+del and find the process
<5> it's not in the task list
<1> If it has a window... it should be.
<3> why not kill all the unknown processes and then run it ?
<1> check out some of the process utilites from sysinternals.com
<4> my suspicion is that he's screwing around on a computer he shouldn't be(work, school, etc)
<1> yup most likely
<6> I was in the process of getting my utilities in u sis internals
<5> bofh``: yes
<5> bofh``: but didn't i say i ran the program as Administrator?

<3> hehehe
<1> talk to your network adminstrator and he'll decide if he wants you to use autodriver.exe
<3> wait, admin on a cleint box doesn't give you true admin
<5> Dry-ice: the machine is standalone
<5> not under a domain
<3> is it a netboot box ?
<5> nope
<4> you may have an account in administrator group, but if you don't know how to disable the program, you dont' actually have permissions to do what you want
<3> there you go :)
<5> bofh``: what do you mean? if you don't know how to disable it that means you don't have permissions?
<5> bofh``: sounds strange to me
<1> sounds perfectly logical to me
<4> logical and, more importantly, blatantly supported by the facts of the current situation
<5> simpman: so if you are using an Administrator account but you happen to not know how to format the HD then you don't have the permission to format the HD?
<3> maybe it's setup to NOT let anyone install or run app's
<5> Dry-ice: of course
<5> Dry-ice: but how. and what is actually monitoring that
<5> Dry-ice: software, windows, etc.
<6> stz it's pretty clear what you're doing, they've pretty much nailed it
<4> talk to your administrator. this isn't an XP issue
<5> DaCapn: of course. and it would be a challenge to find out what it is, right?
<1> For you, not us :)
<5> simpman: ok. not for you
<3> "Maintain Software License Compliance with Software Metering" <-- http://www.vector-networks.com/pc-duo-enterprise/software-metering.php
<5> Dry-ice: that sounds more like it. let me check
<3> there is one built into windows too
<5> Dry-ice: yeah i thought it must be something built-in coz i couldn't find anything in the services registry
<3> look up SMS 2.0
<5> Dry-ice: i read about SMS but it sounded like it's for Windows 2003 Server
<3> well, they have a new 2003 version
<3> http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sms/sms2003/deploy/deployingwinxpsp2_1.mspx
<5> yeah that's what i read
<3> "...procedures apply to both SMS 2003 and SMS 2.0." you have 2.0 on that system
<5> you think it's the SMS? i am about to try that PC Duo thing
<3> yeah, find and run smsman.exe
<5> ok. will do.
<5> thanks
<3> I have to reboot now
<5> see you
<8> hey I left :)
<6> anyone happen to know how to get excel to just take the numer I give it... like if I enter 2.0 I don't want it to change to 2
<6> and changing the cells one at a time would be tedious as I will have to enter hundreds of numbers manually
<9> set the columns, not the cells
<6> well I don't have a set decimal place, some will be 2.00 some 2.0
<6> littered about randomly
<9> have fun
<6> is there an option to just say "take my number and set decimal places accordingly?"
<6> sob
