<1> appart from the physics which are very good <1> like <0> i think if i ever got into games i'd buy a console <1> yea <1> but if you go in hardcore, you'll see why consoles are crap in comparison <0> my nephews xbox3 plays graphics nice. i've only seen a car game on it <2> I'd buy myself a nice $4000 PC. <0> 512mg video card dual sli or something? <2> Very correct. <2> :O <0> big bucks <2> $812 <0> ouch <0> and you say the graphics are better than xbox live? <2> Don't know. <0> i have a fx5200 128mg card.. only reason i have it is cause i got it for free :) last card was an nvidia 32mg card..heh <0> but it's rated as **** when it comes to graphics cards <1> yep <1> fx5200 was absolutely the ****test gfx card <1> ever <0> i installed doom3 once and it played pretty nice. but i have nothing to compare it to <1> well i doubt you got more than 800x600 for it to play smoothly, i know, i tried :p <0> customer wanted a dell setup as a server it had that card and a builtin one.. cust let me keep the card when i told him he didn't need it <1> lol <1> not much of a giveaway <0> that box is still running as the companies terminal server win2k <0> dell gx240 model <1> i remmember some guy, he had a 9800pro installed, back in the day when it was top of the range <1> he used it for word processing <1> i soo wanted to steal it <1> he would've hardly notticed <0> what's really funny is half the crew working there have 3.2 p4's with 250gb drives and all they run is remote desktop client..what a waste of machines.. clients boxes are faster than the actual ts box <1> lol <1> things like that piss me off <0> same here but hey it's their money <1> thing is <1> if you tell them, they get all gay <0> how about a dual xeon 2.8ghz to host one static website..hahaha with raid <3> hi/ xp is instaled on drive H (layout prim/C:H:G: ext/D:E:F:) when i vas instaling there was conected usb drive (G:) - now then i disconekting usb drive/ xp reasigns leteers from H to G & xp can't start /coz there is no H anymore (fixing boot.ini did'nt helped) <1> like "ooh but it doesnt matter we like word to come up quickly" <1> and they dont even say thanks <1> let alone reward you for saving them money in the future <0> they are clueless <1> some ppl buy computers <1> on the basis that they look good <0> which is funny <1> ya <4> I'm having problems with a program should i ask here or in #computers? <0> when i told them they could have that site hosted for a few dollars a month and no security issues.. and use the server for the TS box..he said no. he wanted complete control over the static site.. it's sad <0> Meek0rz ask <4> Oztzrf I just did. haven't your teachers tought you what a question mark looks like and what it means? <0> i guess i missed that day <1> wtf <1> windows xp still uses lmhashes? <5> SAM <5> hack my bitch up <6> wais: you can disable them, or use a pw >14 chars <5> http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=299656 <--- :) <6> ..heh <5> that was ghey <7> yeah, it is
<4> Oztzrf why don't yourun along till you p*** grades k through 12 by yourself without mommy having to **** everything that moves just to get you to the next grade <1> Meek0rz, wtf... <1> he asked you to ask your question... <8> !kban Meek0rz thanks for stopping by <9> what a homo <1> i liked how kevin mitnick said <1> a guy of a different race 10x bigger than you will steal your shoes <1> "off a different race", thats funny :p <10> np <9> its ok you can say what you really meant wais <1> no thats quoted <11> Does anyone know the average cpu temp of a laptop with a mobile chip <11> or where i can get it <8> 42 <11> mines been running at 39-41 but the fan keeps on reving up too often <11> it's a dell so i might have to smash it and take advantage of the warrenty <11> lol <10> lol <12> anyone know why some of the directories in my network shares aren't showing their files? i'm using simple file sharing <12> some of my shares show all files, others don't, what's going on :( <13> Had issues yesterday with a XP 2200+ and 2 - 128MB PC100 SDRAM sticks, the slots takes PC133 but I was told that shouldn't be a problem. The issue yesterday was that the computer keeps restarting, occasionally a STOP error popsup. I used memtest to check the memory, no errors. I then uninstalled under a much slower box, K6 400mhz. So far it only has managed to restart once but then again I started running memtest after that restart so I don <13> 't know if the problem will persist. So my question is, if memtest p***ed then memory shouldn't be the issue in the XP 2200+ box. What else could be the problem? <13> Oops. I then installed I meant. <13> Could it be a heat issue? Seems running IE & FF under the XP 2200+ box, they both crashed and occasionally restarts the computer. Yet program like xchat starts up fine, explorer itself starts up fine(though I did geta few "System has recovered from serious error" dialogs). <10> np <14> Can anybody help me test my file sharing set up? <15> sure <15> what do you need <16> hi i have been having a problem with my router sometimes when i download a file it will just stop and i will have to redownload <17> Test <10> pwn <2> My friend has done this registry modification without backup: http://forums.eidosgames.com/archive/index.php/t-49590.html And now he's getting an '0x00000000' memory could not be 'read' error. Anyway to solve this? <10> ya securerom is pretty gay <2> Heheh. Indeed. <10> ****s when its easier to pirate something than use a legit bought copy <2> I hate RIAA and DRM statements. <2> :P <18> anyone have had problems with something called idlist / it happend when my computer crashed, and now none of my USB ports work. <19> raid 1+0 with 4 drives is striping and then a mirror of that stripe right? total capacity = 2 drives. am i correct in ***uming this? <20> yes.. correct <21> pci.sys that is in system32/drivers folder <21> what is it for? <21> because my dads pc is n ot booting up cuz of that file being currupted or missing <22> Its the pci driver <22> and needed for windows to boot <22> If you need the file, i can send it to you <21> it's telling me to press r at the main page <21> well i have it in this pc too <21> i checked <21> but how could i drop it off in the other pc <21> can't boot windows can't boot cd to repair <21> going crazy :P <22> You would need to copy it to a floppy drive if you got one <21> i do.... <23> McDuck: pm <22> copy it to the floppy, then enter recovery module <21> how do you enter recovery modules? <7> system files dont disappear for no reason. prolly has other problems <21> lol <21> hear out my dads excuse :P <21> he just simply unplugged the big black wire and replugged it <21> the one that goes to the power supply <21> lol <24> what is best way to test if my harddrive is normal or damaged? <23> drop it on the ground <21> lol <7> open a dos window, and type: chkdsk c: /r <8> download seatools from seagate, boot off cd/floppy, run all tests <25> shhh <24> bofh does seatool work for non seagate drives? <7> heh <7> when runing that crap from an hdd manufacturer, make sure you dont install the bios thing they include <8> yes, Fronts <8> and the overlay isn't part of seatools, it's part of disc wzard
