<16> Ok, the strangest thing happened .... I was setting up a movie for me and my girl to watch and the sound was accidently balanced to Left under 'Volume Control'. Once I noticed it I put it to the middle. Now whenever I listen to music or watch a movie or anything with sound I only hear it on 1 side (left) of my headphones\speakers. Whenever I put the balance to the left under

<22> hey all
<22> say when I run chkdsk on a reboot it always is cleaning up minor inconsistencies on the drive.
<3> when I run chkdsk on a reboot it always is cleaning up minor inconsistencies on the drive.
<22> I made a post on AnandTech if anyone can please tell me what is going on here?
<22> ----> http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=27&threadid=1795717
<22> ManKind: what you too?
<22> anyone?
<3> why did you decide to run chkdsk on boot?
<22> ManKind: oh I meant to say I just right clicked the drive and clicked it in tools and let it check when I rebooted is all
<22> I just bought the drive and after installing it I just wanted to run some tests on it a few times and that is when I noticed it continually shows up with the same type of inconsistencies on the drive.
<22> I talked to Western Digital today and they told me if I use the Data Lifeguard and run all 3 tests: --> Write Zeros to drive -- Quick Test -- Extended Test and it showed no errors then the hard drive is ok
<22> and there where no errors on all 3 tests
<22> ManKind: the thing was in right after installing this Raptor in the 'Computer Management' 'System' there was a Event ID 51 warning: ---> An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation.
<22> that is what got me going on doing tests on this thing, turns out the drive just seems to have some compatiblity issues on some boards
<22> I found out that if I disable some IDE and SATA controllers I dont need then I dont get that warning
<22> so that is why I ended up running these chkdsk to see what was going on
<22> ManKind: any ideas here?
<22> wel I'm off to do some more playing with it, clear cmos uninstall nForce drivers, etc...
<22> brb
