How do I make my downloads resume when I get hung up? <4> if you mean over a dialup connection then you'll need to download some application to allow it <4> like getright <4> google it <4> !google download getright <7> http://www.getright.com/get.html <6> Oh I thought there was a setting <8> How do you search your registry for a serial number? <4> 'About GetRight <4> GetRight improves on the ability of your web browser's built in downloading by supporting graceful error recovery, download resuming, download acceleration, scheduling, and many other advanced downloading features. ' <4> stainer7, what serial number are you looking for <8> A serial number for a program called, "EZ prompt" <6> Thank you very much <8> it is a program designed for teleprompters <9> you try their homepage stainer7? <8> If anyone has any free or more well known teleprompting programs i'd be happy to give them a try <9> oh <9> nvm <9> np <8> Where could i find info on teleprompter programs? <4> ask google <4> !google teleprompter programs <7> http://www.drs-digitrax.com/ <8> google is being a fag <10> http://www.virus.org/PrintArticle178.html <11> DCC SEND "1234567891011" <12> hello <12> can anybody tell me the command to check out what process is using what port? <0> netstat <12> netstat what <12> that only gives a list of active connections <13> 5 months? <13> why a 5 month ban <13> heh <0> I would do a y4k2 <3> netstat /? <14> netstat /showmeyourports <15> ?? banmenow <7> banmenow == One Mc Kick-ban comin right up <16> hello is there a new way to disable validation check <0> we don't support warez <16> oh sorry did not know that was cl***ified as one. will not ask again <17> the best way to disable it is to format c: <18> if i have a copy of nav '05 and i update the definitions, will it give me the same coverage as he latest nav (nav=norton anti virus)? <10> ask symantec, also see the topic <0> of course it will <0> sheesh <19> do you guys have any idea why a ram upgrade would cause windows to not boot regularly, but into safe mode just fine? <3> ?? memtest <7> memtest == http://www.memtest86.com/ | http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp <-- this will find the faults other tests wont. <19> ok, ill give that a shot <3> thanks <19> thank you <3> np <13> what exploit is this dcc send 000 thing?
<13> norton also? <20> np. <3> ?? dccsend <7> dccsend == Some older Netgear routers will drop and connection to IRC if the you've used port 6667 to connect to the IRC server and then try to initiate DCC send or DCC chat with other users. A work around for this is to connect to the IRC servers using a different port. Almost every IRC server will have other ports open, (check with their Message Of The Day when connecting for additional open ports), such as 6669. <20> sup NanPind <20> lol <20> you have to watch this. <20> http://www.killsometime.com/Video/video.asp?ID=137 <21> what's the name of the prog that changes an .exe so that it runs on a specific core every time? <3> sc <22> umoms <22> .esxe <21> imagecfg <2> wtf is with the word umom <2> why has everyone started saying that now <22> umoms is <23> Ok, I have a win2k3 file server. The general load is pretty low. There is a main RAID array that is the main share off of it. My issue is when I start uploading a large file, it kills the downstream of everyone else. Is there some means to prioritize reading over writing? Or general traffic control in general? <22> do you have the nic set to auto? <23> yes <22> dont <22> hard code it <22> also, you have caching on your array controller? <23> That I do not have enabled <22> i would enable it <23> Its important written things get written <22> what controller <23> 3ware <22> so enable the caching <23> ok <22> helps with performance <23> Is there a way for me to shape priorities at all? <22> dont believe so <23> maybe novell would have been a better choice then <22> so switch <23> Not now. I just dumped butloads of money into Win2k3 <3> there is only so much bandwidth, when you use it others will slow down <23> I understand this. But even the most elementary FTP servers can say "Reserve 1/4 bandwidth for upstream, 3/4 downstream" <23> Also, I think it is completely appropriate to say "user x can only get 10kbps, where usery can max out the bandwidth" <23> or even host x and y <24> that's windows <0> man I need a new job <0> this one's getting too busy <25> what kind of moron spends 300 or more on a nice raid card and doesn't set the cache setting properly <20> []8 <25> reminds me, should check and make sure that array rebuilt alright(well, probably still rebuilding) <23> bofh`: Ok, you have NO idea what this file server is for <23> so calling me an idiot perpetuates your ignorance <23> but thanks for your insite <3> idiot <3> sorry i missed something <25> doesn't matter what it's for, if you haven't gone in to setup cache on a card like that, you're an idiot <25> didn't say how you shoudl ahve it set, just said you should have set it up <3> not necessarily <25> that 128mb chip is on that card for a reason <3> data integrity will be retained better in case of crash if it is disabled <25> or whatever is applicable on the card you're using <23> exactally <3> but performance will suffer <25> if tha'ts a concern, then he should ahve bought the BBU <23> SHould I stick this screwdriver through your temple or your eyeball? <3> hey now child <25> though if your controller can't finish a write and properly shut down the OS between time UPS alerts it and time battery runs out, you need a bigger Ups <23> I see <23> Anything doesnt work, its "You dont hae the right hardware/skill" <25> lol <25> he's in here complaining about performance, then whines when it's poitned out there are very easy fixes he hasnt' done <25> heh, only 19% along. figured as much. gonna be a while <15> that keylogger thing isn't as insidious as the dcc exploit <22> damn <22> thats slow <25> ARGH, SLOW SYSTEM!! owner better approve that new server quick. :/ <20> shadowcat <20> do you have kaspersky corp? <15> why would I want kaspersky corp?
