There's a wide range of quality issues with that media/market. <6> digiwork: any idea why all Office 2007 apps crash whenever I try to do anything with a sharepoint webdav folder? : <1> cause it doesnt work :) <6> if I try to save an outlook msg there, outlook crases <5> bad porn will cause chub deflation <6> *crashes <1> that was the first thing i crashed :) <6> can't open excel docs <1> yup
<1> no workie <6> nice :D <6> other than that, Outlook is nice <1> if i was brave enough to install it at work <1> id like to try the live reply feature <6> what's Live Reply <1> dials the phone based on the AD info <1> weve been wanting that for a while <6> oh whatever man :D <6> I tell people to pick up the ****in' phone <6> and dial <1> thats too far! <7> $rtn[$res['cl***_id']][$res['store_id']][] = $res['value_id']; <4> yeah how hard is that? <7> ick. <1> what id you dont know the extention? <0> peerafk: so u wouldnt recommend installing mce on a system already running win xp pro, even if I have multiple HDD, it might mess my existing system up? <1> we have 1000 phone numbers <5> DCC SEND 'Office2007' 0 0 0 <6> I ask the receptionist to transfer me to the person's name <5> wee <6> it's her job to find the extension <1> or <1> you right click and say dial after reading the email :) <6> yeah <1> liek when you are pissed off at someone <6> and then you find out your phone doesn't dial <1> perfect <7> DCC SEND PATCHYOUR****JACK*** 0 0 0 <6> because it doesn't work with whatever the **** patch level of whatever the **** is on your pc <1> hahaha FK <1> such the cynical one ;) <8> nice <6> I refuse to tie dialing a telephone to my network <1> ours is great <1> i love unified messaging n **** <8> quality stuff <1> but you know what the best part is? <1> the "phone" part <1> is outsourced :) <1> IT doesn't touch it :) <4> bye bye for now <9> i need help with slacking <9> im just not any ****ing good at it <3> Nothing wrong with being a "go to" guy. Stick with what you know. <9> what does that even mean? <9> is it derogatory? <9> what the **** its irc why do i ask <3> I don't know. These things called "words" keep coming out of my keyboard. <3> That was definitely a short fuse. <3> Mmmm.... YOU"RE A HOLOCAUST. <10> hi there. just need a punch into the right direction. i'm looking for a way to read data from a ms word document. it is "semi-structured", not like CSV (or any other delimiters) but in a table. which way would be right to go? (the "output" should be another document, based on this one) - some import/export magic using excel? COM+-alchemy using delphi or anything similar? please help. (just a punch, really) <11> What time will legendary tennis pro, John McEnroe, be making his appearance in #Windows to discuss the what lies ahead for Microsoft's upcoming release, Windows Vista and Office 2007? <3> Don't give up your day job. <11> 30, LOVE <3> Sometimes, grammar is your friend. Some times not. <7> ya know, belax was behaving himself for a while. i wonder if he needs some more bitchslapping. <12> belax, don't do it
<7> oh you ****er. <7> i'm gonna have that song in my head now. <13> Just shuddap. <14> hey, i just reinstalled windows on a friend's PC, it is an HP and by default there are "Removable Drives" named C: , E: , F: , and so on. I Reinstalled Windows and the hard drive was named I: ... how can i do this over so the hard drive is C: ? <3> nisoke: Remove the first primary partition in windows setup (Delete partition and re-create it), install on that first primary. This may require more juggling than I've outlined here, Feel free to ask again if you hit a snag. <3> (eg. boot xp/2k cd, setup, etc.) <15> is there a way to disable automatic reboot in xp when updates are installed? <14> ok let me give this a try... <3> Oh, and that removable drive on C:, change it to something else (run, diskmgr.msc, disk mgmt, right click on the C:, change drive letter). <7> better yet, leave any removable storage disconnected when reinstalling. <3> iLLNESS: Control Panel, security center, manage windows updates, pick your preferred option (such as download updates but do not install). <15> well id like to install, but not restart :o <15> u know the timer that comes up saying its gonna restart in like 4mins or whatever <15> or a minute <16> you can change that in group policy editor <15> i dont want that to automatically restart. just wait for me to pick <16> or even the local policy <3> iLLNESS: I'd say not gonna happen, but I dunno. One time I just ignored that prompt to restart and it went away without rebooting. <14> Tomomi: diskmgr.msc cannot be found <3> nisoke: Right click on "My computer", manage. <15> tomomi it always reboots <3> nisoke: Run > DISKMGMT.MSC <14> ok i changed the C: to K: ...i have to reinstall windows now in order to change that drive though correct? <3> Umm... yes. The changes will overwrite all that is on that partition. Given that, yeah, re-install. <3> And as PB said, best to just unplug any removable storage devices before going into setup. <14> great, i appreciate your help....is microsoft going to give me trouble when i need to activate this again? <12> totally <12> they love trouble <14> lol well are they going to let me activate it? <3> nisoke: It shouldn't. I don't think partition order stuff is part of the WPA database. <14> ok thanks everyone for the help <3> oh wait. clean install? You'll need to re-activate, but that should be a no-h***le re-activate. <3> Hell, I reactivated after changing memory, cpu type (amd > intel), motherboard and so on -- basically a new machine, and WPA didn't care. I hear there's some forgiveness in the activation process now, like 1-3 re-reactivations before it sounds the alarm. <2> it varies with the SKU <2> if its a OEM version, its pickier <3> This is OEM. <2> if its a NFR retail SKU, its much looser. <7> they may also age their activation database. <14> tomomi...i would have been able to fix this problem without a clean install? <12> I told belax not to do it <3> nisoke: No. If it installed it on I:, then a lot of hard coded references in the registry would be out of whack. There is* a way to change the drive letter without the clean install, but that doesn't answer the registry problems. <12> Your mama is Romulox <17> hey <17> what are the minimum permissions required to install windows updates? <17> do you need backup permission? <18> Does anyone know how to search their computer to find programs that are running discreetly (such as a key-logger) <16> www.sysinternals.com has a rootkit scanner <16> supposed to be one of the best deep scanners <12> Time for some deep bonin' <18> pgpkeys - thanks... <16> wselcome <16> err welcome <19> hey guys, I have a wireless adapter and also an ethernet adaqpter, internet (web access) works fine when i'm connected to wireless and have ethernet disable, however, when I plug in the ethernet and enable, i lose my web access...any ideas? <2> what is the ethernet plugged into ? <19> a different router 192.168.0.1 whereas the wireless is 192.168.1.1 <2> so that router is also connected to the internet ? <19> no it isn't <2> then why is it even there? <2> whats it routing? <19> because i have a local lan in my room connected a few computers together without internet <2> so you want a HUB or SWITCH, not a 'ROUTER' for that. <2> that router is announcing to your LAN that its the way out, and that its the DNS server. <2> so its breaking your WLAN routes. <19> how do i tell windows to not use that partciular gateway 192.168.0.1 <2> turn off the DHCP server on that router. <2> or configure this system to use a static IP on that subnet <2> but, you really shoudl be using a ethernet switch for a isolated LAN, not a router <19> ok i'll give it a try <19> thanks man <3> swish. <13> Where's samosa. <20> I'm here. <13> Oh samosa. <20> Nevermind that fat bastard.
