<0> yeah, was my next Q. The compatiblity. o.k. <0> hmm, i wish i was still in australia so i could head out for lunch and a pint at one of the local beachside pubs ;p <0> bikinis, beer, sand = wink <1> mm. <1> i've never really hung out at a beach. <1> i'm a landlubber in the middle of the frozen norths of Canada. <1> and I hate scraping off my car. <0> spent 6months in Oz. last year - very good time ;) <0> heh, yeah <0> well i typically am also, but that 6months, i was a beach bum, hah. I think everyone should give it a go once in their life ;) <0> i backpacked though, all of east coast. unreal trip <3> never hung out at teh beach???? you need to go to hawaii for vacation <1> i need time off. <0> i swam in a river full of crocs, unknowignly. right at the end of my trip also. <1> ha <0> i, and the 2 hotties i was with. Me and buddy looked at eachother like ****, if they got the balls to jump in, we might aswell dip in too for a bit. Turns out afterwards we discover the potentially fatal information heh. <3> where was that? <3> i went rafting in florida river.. felt like i brushed against a little one <0> north eastern tip of Australia. <3> was aligators tho crocs are crazy <0> visited a croc farm one time... <0> Absoltely m***ive croc they had there.. think it held the record for size in Oz or something <0> cant tell ya how big it was <0> and buddy who was touring us, jumped on his backside and sat on him for a while. couldn't believe it <0> this thing had a mouth the size of my fridge <3> ha <3> i dont belive it.. i doubt they would let you jump on backs of animals at a farm <0> well not i for sure, and noone would even if they were allowed <0> but the farm keeper did <0> this guy was like that Oz animal crazy dude on T.V. * 20 <0> he was nuts <3> hah so the farm keeper was touring with you? <0> he toured us <1> your rears. <3> hah <3> time to wake up the wife with scrubs eps <0> yes and our rears ;) <4> i changed the location of my shell file in regedit <4> now when i try to change it back, it wont go back <4> any ideas? <4> i change it back then when i boot up its still using the other shell <4> and i go back and check the reg key and its back to what it was before i changed it <5> Hi there. I have Windows XP on a 1Ghz computer. I recently had the ram upgraded from 256 -> 512 and it makes a very big difference in performance. I also got a new Geforce 6200 video to replace the old 3dfx card. Will replacing my old 40GB 5400 RPM HDD with a new 7200rpm 80GB drive be good for performance, or will it only matter in games and stuff? <5> (I don't play any games or anything much demanding.. explaining why i still have 1ghz computer) <1> only for load times. <6> wow <6> what did thuryn do to get perm banned? <7> dont forget the pagefile <6> guy musta been a douche to actually piss barry off <5> My paging file is currently set to 512mb -> 1GB, is that ok for my current configuration? <1> you should use the option that tells Windows to manage your pagefile <5> ok <5> i shall change that <8> is this a help channel for windows ? <0> nah it's a virtual gold jeweler, blingbling y0 <8> ahh thought so <0> yeah :/ <8> :) <0> just ask someone might answer <8> doesn't seem like it <0> now someone most likely won't answer :)
<8> are you waiting for help aswell lol <0> nah <8> you just like to be on a windows channel at this time :) <9> when I try to connect to a terminal server it tells me that the licensed logon limit has exceeded, for how long is this message going to show? <9> Im the only user <9> but a session timed out <9> and I have been unable to reach it for like 5 hours now <10> how do i know if my printer is a postscript printer <11> by default, windows server doesn't have an idle timeout <11> bjoerk - is this 2003? <9> nope its 2000 <11> ****s to be you <11> you can connect with TS manager if you've got rpc access to the server remotely <11> and disconnect a session <11> or reboot the server remotely <11> or have someone go to it and kill a session from ts manager <11> sounds like it doesn't realize that your 2 sessions are actually disconnected <9> what is RPC access? <11> or it would let you login and reconnect to an existing session <12> remote procedure call <11> if you don't know what rpc is, then you shouldn't be touching a server <9> I know what it stands for <9> but I mainly use linux servers <11> can you use remote management tools from where you are? <11> like, oh, TS manager, which I already referenced twice <11> that's what I mean by rpc access <11> are you either on a lan/wan or vpn? <9> wan <11> not rocket science, even for linux users <9> This is the place Im using remote desktop connection from <9> doesnt it have like a timeout or something <12> nice lookin chick in the topic btw <11> [09:16] <@BBS> by default, windows server doesn't have an idle timeout <11> if you want it to timeout, you have to specify that in ts configuration <11> if this was 2003, you could do a third connection with /console <11> but 2000 doesn't support that <11> like I said, reboot, or disconnect a session from ts manager, either local or remote, those are your options <13> moo <14> poo <13> gonna bust out in 30 to look at the car <13> might even try to drive that **** back heh <12> just make sure to bring some air freshener :( <13> nah <13> it's been out in the field so long it doesn't smell <13> beside <13> once the engine starts on fire it'll cover anything up <13> that reminds me <14> what car? <13> 67 mustang <13> or something else, depends <13> but the mustang is on the top of my list atm <3> think about the enviorment <12> yes, burn as much fuel as possible <12> that way we will run out faster <13> 100 mustangs pollute less then one truck <13> so stfu <3> truck? <3> no way <12> i took the cats off my camaro <13> decryptr, semi <3> even a semi <13> nah <3> ja <13> plus semis put out particulates <13> ==canc3r <12> an 80 ton semi puts out a lot of pollution decryptr <3> so do 100 mustangs <3> my buddys has no pipes and runs racing gas <13> so? <3> feels like 5 gforces <3> lots pollution <13> cats waste like 40% of the fuel a car uses <3> haha
