<0> I got a busy week ahead of me. <1> _nerp: Someone die? <0> hehe <0> no, not yet. <0> there was a fatal accident down the road yesterday, but that's not my town. :D <0> that's my co-workers town, so he has to deal with that. D: <0> I just have to deal with some heady **** htis week like property revaluations, the municipal budget is about to be completed.... <0> oh and the teachers contract negotiations are about done. <0> that has been going on for years. <2> Thanks Gimp-Work & SD70MAC <0> the one bright spot is i'm meeting with a bunch of high school girls on wednesday mornin to talk about myspace <0> haha <0> well it's more of a school forum <3> _nerp: KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS! <3> :D <0> I'll be like "you guys wanna see my space?"
<0> (ziiiiip_ <1> _nerp: MySpace? <1> WTF? <2> _nerp, to talk about myspace??? <0> fdiv - all the local schools are repsonding to the national media hype <1> Why are you writing an article about that mental wasteland? <0> about the dangers ***ociated with teens putting personal info online <0> for horny 40 year old men to stalk them <0> enough 14 year old girls have been raped nationally, i guess. <0> school is hosting a forum with parents and students <1> _nerp: I haven't heard of any specifically related to MySpace, but I don't track rapenews.com. <0> the principal begged me to come and give me some coverage <3> OMG! THE INTERWEBNET IS EVIL! <0> you havent' seen all the myspace related **** on TV and in the papers latley? there's been a lot of attention as of late. <3> Be afraid <3> be very afraid <0> this is sort of a localized version. <0> I'll do a good job, though, I wont' make stupid statements the national media tends to make about internet stuff. <0> And i'll be sure to point out that a parent can easily observe what their kid is doing online if they actually gave a **** and lifted a finger <0> and that if a kid puts his address and pics of him/herself half naked, one shoudl expect unwanted attention. <3> no **** <1> _nerp: Yeah, it really is a lot of common sense. <4> Llama with baby at side, free to approved home. <0> Yep. <3> and how about travelling hundreds of miles to meet someone you have only typed to is a really BAD idea <0> I think my school here locally is just trying to educate parents about what their kids actually do on there. <5> you forgot, common sense, is NOT common. more so in hormone ravaged teenagers. <0> i think a lot of adults have no clue wtf myspace IS. <1> Which teenagers have always lacked, and parents seem to be hemorrhaging lately. <3> Parents teach their kids not to talk to strangers <3> but EVERYONE on the Internet is a stranger <3> you'd think people would get that <5> see: common sense. <5> you give people too much credit. <3> _nerp: I was going to say that... a lot of parents have no idea what applications allow their children to communicate on the Internet <5> "my child is at home on the computer not running the streets. everything must be ok." <3> they mix up "chat rooms" with "the web" with "email" <3> they have no idea what their kids are doing <0> yeah jet. <0> they don't understand the modes of communication <0> they think "so what if some idiot sends my kid an email. my kid will jsut dlete it" <0> they don't realize their kid has some 2 year long journal detailing every small detail about their life.. pictures, addresses, phone numbers. I've seen myspace pages where their friends post their #s saying "call me" etc. <0> hell i've used myspace to track down people I need to interview for stories. <3> I mean, I installed some games for my father-in-law, and he's like "I asked you to do this because you know more about programming computers than I do" <3> installing games isn't "programming" the computer <0> when there's no info in the phone book or in legal records, myspace sometimes comes through. <3> but like, I don't even bother trying to explain that <0> yeah jet. I hear ya. <0> It's like people who call the entire computer the "hard disk" <5> to that generation, it is 'programming' ... welcome to the generation gap. <0> or when people called 3.5s "hard disks" when 5.25s were still around. <3> _nerp: ya, they sure don't realize that once its out there, its OUT THERE <0> There's no point in correcting them, really, unless you want to sounds like a geek snob <0> Jet - and google cached forever! <3> Like all these teenage girls stripping for their friends on webcam <3> that **** gets on usenet and the web <5> don't use gmail or yahoo mail <5> never deleted, even when you click delete. <0> These kids don't realize when they want to run for political office or join some kind of organization that has a code of conduct, their rants about breaking windows and having teen *** orgys on lithuim at the locla rest stop on myspace.com might not be so good <3> their kids will be downloading videos of mommy *********ing <0> There already have been cases in which young girls have to leave school, etc, because a video they put together for some moron boy got spread around
<0> and eventually hit the greater internet <0> there is this one REALLY cute one i saw once. :D <5> nerp is the reason why the internet will be disconnected. <5> :( <0> no, i think that is just a sign of its power. <0> it can be used for both good and bad. <5> he'll start the push, it'll begin in RI, and move out from there. <0> haha <0> like _I_ have any influence on the net. Pfff. <3> I'll miss the days when stupid attractive women put videos of themselves stripping on the Internet <5> haaaa <3> once people get educated <0> Jet - now they're washed up porn stars PRETENDING to be stupid attractive women <0> sorta like watching videos from "her first lesbian ***" and the girl pretends to be some girl off the street... "I've never kissed a girl." yet you saw her a week ago in some double penetration video. <0> a la hoof girl. <3> nah, I'm talking bad quality, 10fps webcam stuff <6> yeah <3> most of that isn't fake <6> usually they're fat scary chicks. <7> heh <3> cause they wouldn't put out such ****ty video <6> hot girls strip at nightclubs etc. <6> I did see this amazing video the other day.. <6> hidden cameras mounted in some chinese oil m***age parlor <6> young girls were getting nude rubdowns by these female m***euses <6> omg that was hot <6> no ***, just deep thigh rubbing. :D <8> :P <3> I sort of get a kick out of those videos of a group of girls huddled around a webcam drinking and they start like, flashing their tits and doing fake lesbian stuff <5> spicy mchaggis <6> Jet - yeah that's fun and all, and probably for some wanna be gangster white suburban kid. <5> "those guys" <5> "girls, stop ****ing 'those guys" <3> I wonder if those girls would think he's "cool" after they find out he put a video of them out on the Internet <5> the teenage female mind is a tricky landscape <9> not really <5> gimp keeps them under control with a strong pimp hand, cheap beer, and bondo fumes. <9> just have to ignore them sufficiently and they come running <9> bondo fumes are key <9> altho, i will prolly not use actual "bondo" on the car <9> it has a pretty high shrinkage <9> pisses me off <10> Yeah. Shrinkage. <5> so here's a question <11> where? <3> MY CAR SHRUNK BECAUSE IT JUST GOT OUT OF THE POOL! OKAY!? <5> outcrook pst file on my hard drive; as it grows in size, will it degrade the overall performance of outlook if i am moving emails from the exchange store to the pst? outlook is accessed via citrix and i want emails stored locally... <11> dunno <11> my drive might be goin bad <11> **** <9> of course performance degrades as the database grows <9> crackhead <11> never had a burner just go bad <9> i did web <9> of course the cd that exploded inside it probably contributed to it's failure <11> now i look at the cde and thier ****ing gap in the mist of the burning <11> Gimp-Work might. <5> ghetto, so i have to start archiving mail to another pst file. <5> can not anyone build a scalable solution. <9> it scales fine <9> my pst file is like 3gb <5> why is it slow as hell moving a simple email from the exchange store to the pst? <11> ohh yeh mine is 4gb <9> who knows <9> maybe your exchange server blows nuts <5> entirely possible. <5> i know nothing of the backend. run by the corp mother ship. <6> Hmm. now that I look at my story list, I actually dont' have much at all to worry about this week. <11> **** school peace <6> I had the worst dreams last night.. I dreamt that I was like, late for deadline, the paper was going to press in like 1 hour and I hadn't even STARTED making calls and getting my stories done <9> so <9> has anybody done any body repair <9> and if so, what's the best filler <11> i have
