<0> a synthetic full is just a view of the backed up data where your last full and all your incrementals are applied
<1> i see
<2> is there an easy way to select like 50 users who must change their p*** on next logon?
<1> that sounds handy.
<1> i have to peice my **** together when i do a restore
<1> restore the full.. then restore each incremental day one by one.
<2> the 'user must change account at next login' is just a one time thing right?
<0> H2SO4 yes
<2> how can i do it to more than one person at once?
<1> hold shift
<2> err...
<1> hold shift!
<2> oh it can be done, i tried once before when i was on crack and couldnt figure it out
<2> i know how to select more than one item at once
<3> or hold control and select the ones you want if they're not in a row
<1> ooh fancy car chase scene.

<4> too. damn. cold. can't. wake. up.
<1> hot coffee mod
<4> not helping.
<2> how come when i select multiple users there are two check boxes next to user must change p*** at next login?
<1> that sounds weird
<4> is this 2000 or 2003? because i can't seem to batch change that setting in 2000.
<5> good morning
<6> pizza_biz, group policy.
<6> I'm pretty sure it's under p***word policy.
<6> Ah yes.
<6> computer settings\Windows settings\Security settings\account policy\p***word policy
<6> Or you can script it for certain users to change p***word after next login.
<0> I was wrong, synthetic backups are not views of the backup data. It's an actual full backup, the difference being the source of data is the existing full and it's incrementals.
<6> That's a huge bitch.
<7> flash ****in lags on this machine
<8> hmm can't seem to get a channel list.. Must be busy.. Of your head anyone know a decent MAC channel on efnet?
<7> guess a 333 mhz with 684 megs of ram just can't handle flash
<7> Tsu, #mac and #machelp
<8> Thanks Ted.
<7> np
<5> Tsu that happend to me yesterday
<9> hello
<9> have an interesting problem. Tried updating my vid bios on my dell 8200 laptop, via CD-ROM and ram drive. I didn't have a floppy to boot and flash with so i had to find anothe rmethod. However, during flashing it told me that the device numbers did not match, but the option to force flash was avail. so i used it. Rebooted, and now have a black screen
<9> i figured it was probably something common to have device numbers that did not match while attempting to flash, given the bios update was straight from Dell. Didnt think much of it at the time
<8> reyeZZo: not to be a *ick.. But you likely flashed it with the wrong bios. "cross your fingers
<8> that the laptop has a vga out" and it's still working :-)
<8> you should be able to use tht againts a crt hopegfully.
<5> could he reinstall windows ?
<3> damn, gada.be is awesome.
<3> hey AntLips
<5> hey :)
<5> how you feeling!
<9> no agreed, but i just don't see how it could have been the wrong bios if i got it straight from the dell site. gauranteed i downloaded the right one anyway
<3> ok. bit of a headache but that's from the hangover
<5> bad boy!
<3> i know i know
<5> hehe
<9> and Tsu, i also can't use the VGA output, not working :/
<9> however, i have thought of an idea now, is to reinstall the bios via floppy since i've now got my hands on a USB ext. floppy drive
<3> i hadn't drank in months. figured 3 smirnovs, last 1/4 bottle of tequila in the fridge, and a bud was not too bad
<3> probably won't drink again for 4 or 5 months now :)
<9> but... I don't think "floppy" is set in the boot sequence, quite sure it's only cd and HD lol. ****.
<5> until you awake with a hangover hehe
<5> i dont really drink to much unless its christmas
<5> i like wine so i dont want to waist it so i end up drinking the bottle
<3> yeah, i'm not much of a drinker anymore. haven't been for a couple years now.
<3> during the summer I get pummeled a couple weekends but not often
<5> honestly they say a beer a day is good for you
<5> hehe i dont know
<3> hehe, wine personally is my favorite
<5> you like the sweet red?
<3> no, i'm a white zin man. i like merlots though
<3> merlots are good with like cheesecake
<5> omg i love cheese cake!
<3> unless you get the slightly bitter merlots. those are good with chicken
<9> yup i'm officially ****ed
<5> ahh rey
<5> sorry
<5> cant you just reinstall the os?
<3> hehe i have to watch it. I'm 5ft. 9in. and getting a slight potbelly. cheesecake will turn that from slight to severe :)

<9> no VGA out, no floppy to boot option selected.
<9> no options
<9> no no
<9> can't antlips
<9> doesnt make a diff
<9> my screen will continue to be disabled :P
<3> hehe need to scroll back up. find out what happened to reyeZZo
<5> hes flashed his bios
<9> hehe
<9> my vid card bios :/
<9> and it's gone haywire
<9> screen completely disabled. no vga out either
<4> ****a.
<5> i go haywire to when someone flashes me so its all good
<9> and floppy not set to boot in bios either lol
<3> ouch!
<9> ****ty ;(
<3> reyeZZo: still under warranty right?
<9> i mean, what options do i really have here?
<3> with dell?
<9> nah
<9> jujst expired ;lol
<3> damn,w as going to say to call their tech supp and tell them **exactly** what you did, what file you used, what model, ect ect.
<9> i could trip the cmos batter somehow, that would bring it all back to default
<3> see what they say
<9> yeah negative there heh
<5> rey im going t o google this
<3> what's the model?
<5> i bet someone somewhere has had this happen
<3> dell CPx or something?
<9> well, i came accross once the ability to reset your bios via a loopback serial/parallel cable
<5> that sounds promising
<9> corssing a few certain pins at the other end
<9> 8200
<9> inspiron
<3> full model if you please :)
<3> sec
<9> dell inspiron 8200
<9> k
<3> 2.2Ghz Mobile P4?
<0> how the **** do you tell what Service Pack the Blackberry Server is at ?
<10> hahaha http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/01/27/google_doesnt_censor/
<10> Google is just as evil as Microsoft
<5> i know
<5> now everythings censored
<11> FKnight`: Ask it nicely.
<12> Hi Steve.
<12> You big ***y man-slut.
<11> Hi, skoalwork.
<11> Yeah, that's me.
<9> deryl, no, 2ghz
<9> yeah same model though
<12> So is it "celloist" or "cellist" ?
<9> comes in 3 proc speeds
<5> isnt blackberry getting sued?
<11> cellist
<4> skoalwork: but it's pronounced "homo".
<11> AntLips: No, RIM is getting sued.
<12> Or option 3:
<12> "homo***ual"
<12> oh man
<12> pizza_biz: I didn't see your joke when I typed mine :(
<12> But you totally beat me :)
<3> hrmm reyeZZo not finding anything 'pertinent'
<0> I'm pretty sure RIM's legal situation is irrelevent to figuring out what service pack level my Blackberry Server is at.
<3> AntLips: Uhh just the china feed is censored according to that article
<3> they craeted a specific chinese feed, unless i read that wrong
<5> no your right
<3> ok
<4> just think of the fun that could be had with RIM's HR department. imagine seeing a hiring ad in a newspaper, "would you be interested in a RIM job?"
<5> i hate it when they censor things
<9> deryl, nothin eh. :/
