<0> that being said, if you know anything about linux, suse is quite nicer. since they design the entire distro around yast and the automation of yast, the implement workarounds for those who want to edit things themselves. for example, /etc/profile has an /etc/profile.local which you are prompted to edit since yast handles editing of the profile
