<0> not selects? <1> events. <1> its all events. <1> there's more PUTs than GETs. <0> yeah <1> PROQUAL's are transaction queries <0> i can see that <1> PUTs can be streamed <1> GETs need to be serialized <1> and not get out of order <1> er, sorry, PUTs can't get out of order <0> try having 10000 people running complex selects on a multi TB DB at the same time <0> it ****s <2> it's sort of neat how you can write stored procedures in C# <1> but we HAVE to have guaranteed response times. <0> even with optomized cursors
<0> bofa has it down though <1> if a insert station says "whats p/n #431254651661", we need to answer in 100mS before it gets to a sort Y <0> they do all their online banking with mssql <0> and multifaceted log shipping and clusters <1> this is all in PL/SQL and uses oracle-isms heavily for speed <0> matter of fact <1> we run 30GB of shared memory for a database. <3> oracle-isms? <0> i think bofa is the first large company to move to SQL 2005 this year <3> os block read seeks? <3> wtf? <1> i'm not the oracle geek <0> should be fun when i cant get my bank statement <0> our LOB is all accounting <3> your database has to be fast if OS level code is seeking the data <3> MS has built in SQL microcode <4> anyone use realtek ac97 sound? mine makes static sounds when playing games, is that because it's simply a poor quality device or is there something I can do <1> sneakythi; could be a driver problem. cuold be a ****ty implementation. <3> freakin OS sql instruction sets <1> or a bad audio codec chip <4> peerce: strange thing, the realtek doesn't have any files for ac97 I can't figure that one out <5> realtek ac97 sound is garbage... <4> :/ <0> burp <5> at least pick up like a soundblaster or something. <0> i just need a new server <4> I suppose <0> im thinking about breaking our main lob server up into two clusters and using a msa1000 between them and then seperating the data files <1> sneakythi; the sound drivers are for your motherboard. ac97 is a hybrid of the motherboard main IO chip and a specialized DAC/ADC chip <1> the realtek is just the ADC/DAC part <4> peerce: ya I see what you mean <1> digiwork; if all servers are hitting the disk hard continuously, I'd probably limit a MSA1000 to 4 servers max. it will bottleneck with any more <0> well this would be 2 <4> so the realtek website won't have any ac97 files? at least, I can install new codec's? <1> sneakythi; your motherboard maker should have the best sound drivers for that board. <4> asus socket 939 board, quite new.. I installed from cd but get that static when playing games <1> get the latest drivers from the motherboard maker. <4> aight <4> holy crap, 25 megabyte sound driver <0> thas small <4> ?? <4> that big and the sound is still crappy ? eeash <4> well, I'm hoping this update will make the sound nice <1> TedSki: heh. http://www.southbayriders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22456 <6> peerce, i'm not happy with you anymore <6> i'm still sitting here when i should be in bed <6> still with headphones <3> ? <3> </pad> <3> oh i love my digital sausage machines <3> avi to swf <3> mpg to swf <3> mov to swf <7> Hey guys, I just installed my SIS661FX display driver, everything is nice, 32bit many resolution options, however the colors are coming out very bright. I lowered the contrast on the monitor (brand new monitor) to 90% and the brightness to 50%.. the colors are nice but very bright, I opened Photoshop made a rectangle and filled it with #FF0000 and its kinda bright red tinted with alittle tiny bit of hot pink.. I was wondering how in windows I can <3> Please check the Google Account information you've entered above (feel free to change anything you like), and review the Terms of Service below. <3> you can highlight ****, but that's it! <3> those fux <3> i'ma a kill 'em <3> i sent myself an invitation for an email account on google using my yahoo account <3> you gotz a love their gui
