Use common sense, if you are looking for a product thats $200 almost everywhere you look, then find it on newegg for $100, good chance there is a damn good reason for that...

<5> in fact ive actually received a damaged package from newegg once, a motherboard that wasnt packaged quite properly and UPS did what they do best, but newegg's custsvc dept was quite good and next-day shipped another at no additional cost.

<5> technically ive heard that you should rub on a tiny amount using your finger covered with a plastic bag, then use a razoe blade to scrape the top, so you get as much metal-to-metal contact as possible, but personally, ive always just laid down a big blob of it, and *never* have i had a problem with that methodology.

<5> as long as ive been using that methodology, ive had to remove heatsinks which were applied using that methodology, and there was definite metal-to-metal contact, the extrusion of the grease definitely took place.

<5> yea supposedly finger grease isnt recommended but whatever. you know, if you arent overclocking your system and running stock settings, the manufacturers factor in such behaviour and design the product to run rock solid stable regardless if you install it that way.
