<0> frozen oranges! <1> Hawkeye: well thats the exception rather then the rule <2> "thousands of people flock to boston everyday to soak up history and look at the sights and i sit here night after night guzzling beer" <0> both during the summer are very hot and muggy <1> you have it better in Orlando, but down here, 80% of the year is ***. <3> z0g^sn, ever winter I've been here, that's been the rule. <2> "sad isn't it?" <4> I have the air con going at night if it reaches 30. It's too ****ing hot to sleep. <2> "yeah but no one's forcing em." <2> -norm <3> "***" is still open to interpretation. <1> your *** may be open but i try and keep mine shut <4> *pop <5> i farted today in the shower while i happened to be washing one butt cheek and the fart came out as a high pitches squeal <1> bahahaha <4> TedSki, did it make you giggle?
<5> yah, kinda <1> like a little schoolgirl? <3> z0g, that wasn't funnt. <3> *funny <1> i thought it was :/ <1> nevermind. <3> Learn to take a real vacation. <3> Take a week off. <3> Leave your phone behine. <3> *behind <1> heh. i managed that this past vacation :D <5> last real vaca i took like that was to montana and idaho <5> followed widespread panic on tour <5> http://growler.tedski.net/ for pics <1> if DHL ever does return my phone, it should be loaded with tons of voicemails :( <3> Ted, z0g is incapable of taking a real vacation <5> we packed up a rented subaru outback and hit the road, no plans no nothing <1> what if long vacations bore me, eh? <5> just drove <4> pfft, come downunder for a holiday! <5> every stop, we'd find a local brewery, sample the beer and take a few growlers back to camp <5> hence the "Growler Tour" <1> Heh that sounds like fun. <3> z0g, thus far, you've not shown you to have taken a long vacation except for the family escape of 2004 <1> its like barhopping <5> hit 2 Panic shows along the way, just camping for free alongside riverbeds and what not <4> growlers, yeah been using that term since I was young :) <3> You plan your jaunts around a weekend. <3> Because you worry about what your job will do with out you. <5> i had a friend like that <4> Hawkeye, I'm in the same boat though. <5> if he took too much time off, they'd realize how much he wasn't needed <1> well my current job is pretty self sustaining in systems, the last job, they ran on the cheap so it required constant human intervention to continue operations. <3> Ted, that's how he felt right? <3> z0g, it doesn't matter what the systems are. <5> Hawkeye, yea, he just got laid off this summer <3> You get allowed vacation time. <3> TAKE IT <5> yah, i took all of september off <5> that was nice <1> i tend to use a fair bit of it for r&r after important party nights. <5> burnin vaca at the end of the fiscal year <3> z0g, take a vacation some time. <3> A *REAL* vacation. <5> go with him <3> Me? <5> yah <5> do a road trip <4> Road trips are cool <3> I don't quite have the budget for it right now. <3> Or I would have already made it happen. <5> i love road trips <3> Trust me. <3> I'm a traveller. <5> me too <5> hence the motorcycle :) <3> I haven't left orlando in almost 2 years. <1> im going to be a poor man for the next week... and whats so funny is that CES isnt what drained me, I actually only blew about $100 in vegas. <3> I'm jonsin' <4> They have to involve many overnight stays though. One time we drove direct from Melbourne to brisbane, approx 24 hours straight. Don't want to have to go through that again :S <3> Ted, I'm the son of a needed AF person ... so I was everywhere.
<3> Germany was the best. <3> My father's earned arrogance got that ***ignment. :-p <5> yah, but sometimes that burns people out <5> how old are you hawk? <3> 29 <4> Like me. I cbf travelling anymore. <5> hmm <4> Been moving from place to place since I was 9. <3> I was in greece in the early 80s <5> what years were you in germany and what base? <3> Gremany. <3> 84-87 <3> And <3> 91-95 <5> hmmm <3> Rhein-Main for most of it. <5> a guy i work with is a year younger than you and lived there around the same time <3> But in 93-94ish time frame we moved to Ramstein. <3> Yeah, you've mentioned that before I thin. <3> *think. <5> oh <5> yea, my life is boring like that, i reach the end and just hit rewind and play <6> I love you. <3> No, I kind of remember talk like that. <4> XTR, I hope you weren't being specific. <6> Yes. <1> hey/. i just clogged my toilet. <4> Do tell. <3> No, lets not. <3> Just for once. <4> Actually, i was referring to XTR :) <1> Yeah. that poop came out almost in an extruded shape. <2> yawn <4> Hmm time to go home and try out AOE3 <1> any of you have a clue as to how Symantec AV licensing works? are you required to maintain a yearly subscription? I've noticed that with an active contract, you can get daily liveupdates, but without, you only get weekly updates except in the case of a major outbreak, you can get an off-cycle liveupdate. So this makes me think that once you buy a license of SAV corporate, you dont really *need* to renew it yearly. Does that sound right? <4> z0g^sn, you can also manually get updates. <1> Oh, no, i have my SAV central server getting updates nightly, but it never updates faster then once a week unless a major virus hits (they did an off-cycle update for sober.x for example) <4> I had my subscription lapse for a little on a low-production machine, and found that I could download newest update definitions. <4> yeah, it's usually once a week. NAV gets more updates than SAV :P <1> nav is also a bloated piece of **** :( <4> Agreed. <1> i run sav at home simply cause i just hate nav. <4> I don't run anything BUT Sav. <4> wayyy too much overhead with NAV. <1> ive been reading about trend and nod32, though, sav has been treating me very well. it operates extremely well in the enterprise.. its central managability is fantastic. so i dont see any reason to change. <4> z0g^sn, and detection. SAV is well kinown for it's detection base. <7> wait a sec nav = notorn antivirst? and sav = samantec antivirus? arent they the same company? <1> yes <4> One is for retail, one is for Corporate. <1> their enterprise product used to be called navce, norton antivirus corporate edition, they just changed that to sav. nav is now a purely home product <4> They both work differently. <8> on mcafee corporate we have very frequent extras, weekly fulls <7> really? <4> Anyways, home time. <7> w0wz3rs <8> heh. watching "Stop Making Sense", the 1984 concert film with the Talking Heads <8> haven't seen this in 20 years :D <6> :( <8> the DVD has awesome audio <8> the instruments all have really good seperation. i have it in stereo <1> the current topic is a little strange looking... whats with the high bit ascii? <5> we're ereet <9> its strange, in that it seems *cough* friendly <10> hm <10> "Check spelling" on gmail doesn't work in Opera. <10> *shock* <5> heh <5> such a handy browser <5> but, a pita for **** like that <5> i still use it too <11> hey guys <5> no ****in wonder my torrents were so damn slow <5> i had azureus limited to like 8 connections
