<0> can you set up multihoming with a bunch of wireless cards in one box? <0> that'd be a great way to be a 21st century bum <1> I always wanted a way to "combine" all these unsec networks, I read something breifly about it on a linux box but I don't think I fully grasped the concept or it sounded too foreign <1> having 30Mb down would kick *** =] <2> wow. that thermal tap came right off almost completely clean just by nudging it with my thumbnail. i wonder how much CPU power-on time it takes to actually get that stuff to set in. obviously it's more than an hour or so. <3> that sounds like a phenomenal waste of time <0> I don't see any technical reason why you'd really need to 'combine' them to use bittorrent <0> i mean, the client would have to be written to take advantage of multiple interfaces <0> maybe some already are? food for thought <4> welp I found out who's connection it is.....George Richards he lives like 3 houses away from me and I found his shares....he's into porn big time :) <2> anything good? <4> 3 somes <4> mostly <4> guess I'll have to go tell him to install a firewall <4> hmmmm.... some lez action too <5> is paint shop pro still free?
<5> www.jasc.com <4> was it ever free? <4> pspx isn't <6> psp was never free <2> rock. 1200MHz, 1.47V core voltage. and no magic smoke. <6> and now its owned by corel <0> psp had a full featured demo though iirc <6> so in addition to it not being freee, it ****s <0> damn shame. it used to be nice. <6> I dunno, maybe the guy who developed it for jasc went to corel <2> i wonder how much i paid for that 1.0GHz CPU originally. :-( <6> more than its worth now? <0> i remember when the 1ghz barrier got broken <7> more likely, the guy who developed it took corel's money and retired to a nice island in the Caribbean <2> well yeah. <0> I -had- to go buy a new box <7> I skipped the 1GHz generation. went from 800Mhz P3 to 2.53Ghz P4. <5> King Crimson still rocks! <7> Adrian Belew still rocks <6> they said we could never go faster than 1ghz.. that the cpu would tear itself apart <0> peerce, why don't you buy AMD? <5> TWENTY FIRST CENTURY SCHIZOID MANG <6> but those guys with the right stuff got in a 1ghz cpu <6> and proved the nay sayers wrong <6> they broke the 1ghz barrier <7> npx: i probably would now. when I got my 2.53Ghz P4, AMD was in a cheaper-but-not-better phase and AMD motherboards were often very flakey. <0> fair enough <0> i can see the appeal of having the same manufacturer for the chipset and the cpu <7> mine is a 533Mhz FSB, using a i845 chipset <7> intel brand mobo in fact <6> amd cpus and nforce chipsets are apparently a killer combination <7> the 800mhz fsb dual channel stuff came out about 2 weeks later ;-/ <7> yeah, that would be my choice today probably <8> If you click on this link does it go to my blog or do you get something else? <8> http://meabbott.blogspot.com/2006/02/jefferson-patterson-park-in-maryland.html#links <0> yeah ive got nothing but good things to say about nforce4 <6> SD70MAC: the comments section of the blog <7> mea; yours. the 'links' on the left <0> well, nf4 linux support ****s, but it works great in freebsd. <8> Do you see the blog itself? <6> if I remove #links it loads to the top of page (obviously) "Jefferson Patterson Park in Maryland" <6> Under that URL to Album: <8> Hmm. <6> I didn't set out to go to this park... <6> I'd say that's a blog article <8> Ahh, good. <8> So you don't see the blog entry "My Photos from Webshots" below it? <6> no, its a specific blog articl <6> article <6> post <6> whatever <8> Excellent. <7> your webshots gallery is http://community.webshots.com/user/meabbott-date which is the first thing under 'links' <6> http://meabbott.blogspot.com/ is the entire blog <8> I want to put a URL to each blog entry into the description of the actual albums. Now I need to figure out how to get it to actually link instead of just display the URL over on webshots. <6> I see <8> http://community.webshots.com/album/533319648MJWWzJ <7> if you put your photos on a site like smugmug, you can embed them in your blog if it allows <IMG SRC= tags... <8> That is what it is doing now. <8> I'm pretty well established at Webshots. I'm not going to move unless I see a dealbreaker. <7> does it support crosslinking?
<7> I didn't think they did <8> I don't know. <7> so you can embed the picture on a page on another site <7> that would be the dealbreaker for me <8> Oh. That isn't important to me. I would like it, though. <6> you probably want to leave the #links bit off the URL <8> I'm going to chop that off. I am trying to figure out how to turn it into a link. <7> like the pictures here -> http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113011 they are mostly from smugmug ... anything on smugmug can be had in small, medium, large, or original just by changing -S -M -L -O in the URL http://daniel-martha.smugmug.com/photos/20408417-S.jpg <0> isn't there some way to h4x0r a visitor's referral info so yuo can get around bans on crosslinking? <5> BERLIN (Reuters) - Hundreds of fans of German soccer club Borussia Dortmund waved huge inflatable penises at local rivals Schalke 04 on Saturday above an abusive message for their hosts. <5> The pink blow-ups and a huge banner in Dortmund's yellow and black suggesting Schalke fans should procreate with themselves added a splash of color to the dour 0-0 draw between the two Bundesliga sides. <7> hahahah, fawkin' soccer fans are worse than NFL fans. <6> I don't know how you enter text on webshots, but you could TRY <a href="http://meabbott.blogspot.com/2006/02/jeferson-patterson-park-in-maryland.html">http://meabbott.blogspot.com/2006/02/jefferson-patterson-park-in-maryland.html</a> <6> but they most likely strip out HTML <8> Woohoo! <8> http://community.webshots.com/album/533319648MJWWzJ <8> That is what I was worried about but they don't. <8> Yee Haw! <6> nice... you might want to add target="_blank" to the link, so it opens in a new window <8> Now I can do that for more albums. <8> Hmm. I am fairly opposed to things opening in new windows. It annoys me when it does that. <8> I will think about it, though. <9> they treat my girlfriend really nice at starbucks. <10> then you gotta make sure you tell people how to turnoff popup stopper for your site in IE if you use target="_blank" <6> sartan: does she flash her tits at the pimpley guy behind the counter? <8> Yeah, and MagicA has a point, too. It kind of complicates things. <2> hm. does knoppix just not recognize my network card, or am i missing something here? <6> target="_blank" shouldn't be blocked by popup blockers unless you've turned it up to High <6> because the new window is initiated by a user action, its _usually_ allowed by popup blockers <8> I will still think about it. It is one of the rare times I would tolerate it from a website. <8> Still, I probably will not be writing much for each blog. I just want to convey some of my thoughts on a particular album the way Webshots currently does not allow. <2> but on the plus side, the computer's been running for a good 10-15 minutes now without locking up, which tells me the 1.0GHz CPU definitely got zorched. <9> Jet: no she got a job workaing at starbucks <9> lots of positive encouragement <6> I guess, new tabs/windows is the way I work a lot, but you shouldn't force that on other people <2> do they positively encourage her to flash her tits? <8> Oh. Nice. You can click a pic at blogspot and get a full view. <6> they can always ctrl+click to get a new tab/window <6> sartan: good stuff <6> now she can support your unemployed *** <6> :D <8> I do like in IE7 I can force popups to appear in a new tab, but I wonder why I have to set that. It should be default. <2> oh snap. <8> I might write two or three more blog entries tonight. <5> RAISIN CAIN I SPIT IN YOUR EYE. <6> tab browser extensions lets you do that in Firefox, but some stuff like my web-based calendaring program at work don't work right when "popups" open in new tabs <8> Oh? What happens? <6> popups try to close other parent popups and stuff fails when they can't <6> it a badly written UI <8> Oh. That kind of ****s. <6> I just can't use tbe at work <8> Have you used both IE7 and Firefox? <6> no, we use IE6 <6> I'm afraid IE7 will break a lot of badly written web apps <9> Jet: :P <9> Jet: not unempoyed yet. <6> web designers just don't take into account people have control over their web browsers now <8> Wouldn't it be useful to know now rather than when people start trying to install it? <6> Not my problem <9> if i don't find a job by the time my last day runs around i,m going to go to hawaii for a few weeks. <6> technical services picked the product <8> I installed IE7 on my work laptop and here at home and I am kind of liking it. <6> they pick our default browser <6> its their responsibility to make sure stuff works together <6> if some setting in IE 7 breaks the calendaring app they picked, they'll just tell us "don't set it up like that" <8> I'm getting into tabbed browsing bigtime which is strange because when I tried it sometime back on firefox I couldn't get into it. <6> because that's easier than actually FIXING the problem <8> Well, they can hold onto that attitude. Eventually some bossman is going to put IE7 on his machine and won't take kindly to that answer. <6> I really ****ing bitter towards what we call Technical SErvices at work <6> they get away with **** no one else in IT gets away with <8> We probably can. :D <6> if Software Development releases an app with a minor bug, we have reports about what went wrong and procedure changes to make sure it doesn't happen again <6> Technical Srervices makes a "transparent to the users" router change that breaks EVERYTHING <8> Actually, we can even get away with pissing off some of the higher ups (not intentionally). We just say "Well, if the project we specified that would have corrected this and other deficiencies had been approved, you wouldn't be talking to me right now."
