<0> I just wanna go home and rest but I'm on deadline. this is misery. :(
<1> so much bull****
<2> oh good. the guvernator DOESNT HAVE A MOTORCYCLE LICENSE :D but he can't get a ticket here, because apparently driving a sidecar doesn't require one.
<3> yup, first page of the dmv handbook
<1> that makes sense
<1> cause it's basically a car
<4> how is it basically a car?
<2> but itsa motorcycle for car pool lanes and registration.
<1> you don't lean
<1> that's the reason for cl***es mainly
<1> that and the fact that "hey you're small, watch out for idiots"
<2> I think gubernator musta slept that day.
<4> do they also teach, "hey don't be an idiot"?
<2> he's tail ended things TWICE now

<1> that's a different cl*** pb
<1> common sense 101
<1> they teach it over in the sciences building
<2> ooof. on one of my motorcycle lists, discussing this very accident (and his prior tail end crash a few years ago), someone writes...
<2> a prior peice that i read about arnold's riding stated that the clutches on his HDs were specially modified for much lower pull. the author stated that years of weight lifting had all but destroyed his hands and he was incapable of using a standard HD clutch. the author also cited the special effects guys from the terminator movies who said that the shotguns used on the sets also had to be modified because he could not operate them at their standard trigger
<2> so alas, with HDs design preference for high effort braking systems, combined with the extra m*** of the sidecar, means the gov is simply incapable of exerting enough braking force at the front lever to slow down in a panic situation.
<2> the fact that he's rear-ended things before would seem to support this theory.
<3> gimp's right
<3> you don't ride a sidehack, you drive a sidehack
<3> you ride a motorcycle, drive a sidehack
<1> peerce, interesting

<4> dunno. can you?
<6> i can try
<4> since you ended that question with an appropriate punctuation mark for a question, i'm going to ***ume that you _can_.
<6> nice sarcasm
<7> Its in ****ty condition and he wants 11 grand for it?
<1> sorry, you just lost the right to ask
<7> Sha ... right.
<7> What's even worse? Someone has bid.
<7> If I had 11 grand, I would use it as a downpayment on a 2006 Charger.
<7> Now that's a sweet looking ride.
<0> kid caught with a loaded handgun in my local HS here
<0> big story i got here.. . .
<4> SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT

<5> i go to tv.guide
<6> oh well, here it goes. i installed a radeon 9700 PRO and everything was working nice for about 24 hours, then when i rebooted this morning windows froze at the "Starting up windows" part of the boot. been trying some recovery mode inputs but nothing. i also noticed that D: seems to be completly dead. what to do what to do..
<5> search a series
<5> there is all this info on the series, except the time it comes on
<4> is D: a separate physical drive? disconnect it and try rebooting again.
<6> D: is a Raid of two 120GB discs
<6> Safe Mode hangs on atisgkaf.sys
<4> stripe or mirror?
<6> stripe
<4> bleh. well, disconnect those drives. your stripe set is prolly toast.
<6> i bet this has something to do with the graphic driver.. and with my luck D: happens to die at the same moment.. murphy strikes again.

<6> Gimp-Work: what's the command for that in the recovery console?
<1> insert cd and reboot
<1> push r
<10> ATI drivers have a habit of difficulty when uninstalling the video card. Normally you must uninstall before adding a new card and its drivers. Did you clean out all the ATI crap before plugging the card in and installing a new set of Drivers.
<6> i thought i got it all
<6> i bet it's the videocard drivers also... crap crap
<10> ATI has a tool in the utilities section of driver selection that basically cleans out any misc remaining driver stuff.
<11> heya
<5> what kind of flavor is coke?
<4> uh. cola?
<12> coke
<1> bugiam, it is the drives
<1> i googled it
<6> it is?
<1> yes, hence my suggestion to do a repair install
<5> thats like saying white looks like white
<1> since that's what fixed someone else's box
<5> is it based on cocoa?
<1> sure
<1> why not
<11> I'm writing an installer for a program that creates a service and needs to add its own user account for that service to run as on server 2003 domain controllers.. I'm wondering what the best way to do that is? I see addusers.exe from the NT resource kit or whatever but I don't think it's licensed to allow me to distribute it as part of my installer
<1> it's likely all artificial digi
<4> no, it's cola. not cocoa.
<6> but there's nothing wrong with the installation drive (C:), D: is the one that's busted
<1> bugiam, clearly your windows installation has an issue
<1> since it won't ****ing boot
<4> Either of two tropical African evergreen plants (Cola acuminata or C. nitida) having reddish fragrant nutlike seeds yielding an extract that contains caffeine and theobromine and is used in carbonated beverages and pharmaceuticals.

<1> repair install, or recovery console?
<1> (R)epair install is what you want
<6> i did R. that gives me recovery console

<1> do the other one
<6> D: s.m.a.r.t seems to be **** also..
<1> lol
<1> yeah, why is it yelling at you?
<4> i'm gonna design a competing drive monitoring system called S.T.U.P.I.D.
<1> nice
<1> do it
<1> make it track how many miles the head actuator has moved
<1> for no apparent reason
<6> i wish i only put windows on C:... not a bunch of cool files i want to keep.. that's what you get when you can't get a f'n backup
<4> you installed windows on a stripe set?
<6> nope
<6> c: is standalone
<1> it's installed on d
<10> "last known good" might get you some relief.
<1> hmm true Tomomi
<6> Tomomi: tried and failed
<1> ah
<4> oh. that statement was highly ambiguous
<6> damn, i got work to do...
<1> so start the repair install
<6> my xp cd only give me 1. install windows, 2. recovery console, 3. quit
<1> yeah install windows
<1> repair should be in there somewhere
<6> that will partition the drive, i don't wanna do that
<1> not unless you tell it to
<6> true
<0> yeah go to install windows
<0> then it will ask if you want to repair an existing installation
<0> do that
<0> it normally works just fine
<1> i've had about 50% success with it
<1> but the failed ones were REALLY ****ed up
<6> ok, there it was..
<6> trying it now
<5> coke
<5> =
