I'm not 100% sure of the correct paths. I sugest you check the VMWARE KB <4> hi guys <4> anyone for some help?
<3> shoot <3> (although, I'm not sure I can help, but will do my best : <4> i nistaller VMware Worskatstion 5 <4> on a linux box <4> it runs fine when i run it as root <4> and don't start with a regular user :( <4> i get a "Cannot get temporary directory for log file" <4> any idea ;op <3> whats the permissions on the directories it tries to access? <4> in fact, i don't know exactly which directory it tries to access <4> i guess it is in the tmp dir <4> probably /tmp/vmware-chris (chris is my login) <4> but the /tmp/vmware-chris is not created :o( <4> if i create it by hand, and set good rights (700), it doesn't work <3> I'm not 100% sure of how VMWARE WS works on linux. (Using ESX and WS for WIN) but a good shot would bee lookin in the KB at VMWare <3> and see if it says anythin about logfiles <4> i check the KB yesterday <4> but nothing solve my pb :o(
