<0> I'm looking for a way to select a item in a listbox with the right mouse button.
<1> and?
<0> that's it.
<1> I'm looking for a bi***ual supermodel that grows weed and has access to free concert tickets.
<0> you should goto another channel then.
<1> I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were the one making the rules
<1> my bad
<1> and saying that anybody "should goto" is just bad practice
<0> what's your point?
<1> which one?
<0> you need a friend
<2> LWake: to answer your question, capture the right click, check the mouse coords and imitate the left click?
<1> lwake: this is true
<0> I figured that
<1> and steve: not exactly
<0> Jeff321: where are the rules?

<0> I'm pretty sure one of them is to not be a tool
<2> on IRC? You really think that's likely?
<1> why would I know? I'm not the one telling anybody to go to another channel
<1> and steve is right on that one
<0> thanks SteveC I'll try that
<1> I think you almost have to be a tool to be on irc
<1> it's required
<2> Certainly if you ever aspire to being an op
<1> heh
<2> Wouldn't it be nice to be able to choose ONE language and get really good at it. Really know it inside out.
<1> that isn't possible?
<2> For one, I wouldn't have to be in so many damned IRC channels.
<2> Not for me.. I'm expected to tool up with whatever is around, or whtever's been used before.
<3> you TOOL
<4> hello
<4> how do I "findfirst" in VB.net
<4> nm , I just figured it out
<5> how would i make it so if i press the enter button anywhere on form1, button1's action is run?? in delphi all i had to do was set the button's default property to true
<6> set its tabindex to 1
<7> kingsob: vb6, .net, ?
<8> oh my, my bowels are angry this morning
<7> were you cruel to them last night?
<8> not really
<7> hm
<7> just a bad bowel day then
<8> though it could be that whole-wheat pasta i had
<7> ah yeah, very high fiber will set them off for sure
<7> although it's really in a good way
<8> feels like this one is going to tear me up good
<7> compared to say a chili and beer bad bowel day :/
<7> hm, if it's from high fiber it should be a nice smooth flow
<8> yes, but i believe it faily large in diameter
<7> yeah that can sting
<9> Hi all, I'm trying to perform a query inside excel, but I'm not really sure how to do it. I have a list of codes in one sheet, and a list of codes and descriptions in another. I want to match the codes from the first sheet to the second and pull the descriptions from the matches in the second sheet into the first. I'd be grateful if anyone can help :)
<7> oy, excel automation gives me a headache
<9> I thought using VB would be better.
<9> I just dont know which methods to use.
<9> I figured a macro might do it?
<7> you can do that from within excel itself with vba yes
<8> there is a formula for it
<9> There is?
<8> indeed
<9> I hope my description made sense.
<8> you need to look at the help
<9> Would you happen to know the syntax for the formula? :)
<8> its fairly obvious once you do
<7> yeah your description was clear
<9> I did, but I'm not sure what to search for.
<9> I've searched for all things query related, but hell, it's MSN search ;)
<8> dude
<8> i wouldnt be giving you a hard time, but you've got to be really dumb to miss this one
<9> Is it IIF?
<8> try LOOKUP
<8> homo
<8> it pretty much says it all
<9> "No results found for homo"
<7> when calls you a homo it's usually a compliment
<8> ok i gotta take a poo
<8> bbiab

<9> heh
<7> good luck
<9> These days, to get anything done seems to require a bazillion disciplines.
<9> I was happy writing record collection management programs in C 15 years ago :/
<7> heh
<7> yeah man it gets more and more complex by the day it seems
<9> I'm actually doing something in PHP, which I've been using for 4 days. But I need to validate a bit of data.
<9> It's all CSV.
<9> I could drop it into a DB, but I figured I'd try some VBA.
<7> heh
<9> http://rafb.net/p/fN688i52.html
<9> Thats the data, row 3 differs.
<9> As do 600 others.
<9> I want that product name from sheet2 dropping into sheet 1 where the product code matches
<10> ahh this is nice, one of the developers took a copy of our production database and sent it to a third party company that is doing some web site development for us
<10> 25 gigs of real customer data
<7> Martz: sounds like you need to use LOOKUP or MATCH over the second sheet in a loop over the first sheet
<7> Rizard^: ?!?!?!
<7> holy **** job
<7> this guy needs to be beaten
<7> that's a great way to lose a bunch of customers and then get sued by all of them
<10> absolutely genius
<9> chuckie^: I'll look into it, thanks
<9> Indeed that looks like it.
<9> Can I drag down that formula across all the cells I wish to populate?
<7> umm, I'm no excel vba expert, I'm just saying what it looks like you need to do from here
<9> I'm going to try it now.
<7> I would think you could use a loop in a vba procedure
<7> instead of hardcoding the cell references use a variable of some sort....?
<11> everytime you say vba, god kills a puppy
<7> last time I messed with excel vba in any serious way was excel 95
<9> jesus
<9> It worked first time
<9> lol
<7> just killed another one :/
<11> =/
<7> cool
<9> =LOOKUP(A13,Source!A13:A6011,Source!B13:B6011)
<9> :)
<7> perfect
<9> Just sometimes you need to know the functions
<9> I didnt even know that existed
<7> indeed
<9> Each language has it's own function names
<9> :/
<11> nice chuckie
<7> you owe BoDePlOt a nipple rub
<9> Indeed, should I do it whilst he takes a **** though?
<9> hmm
<9> He might get over excited.
<7> I'm sure he'd love that
<7> just wear a raincoat and goggles
<9> wellies?
<7> ok, back to ADO.net vNext video
<7> I have no idea waht wellies are
<7> must be a brit thang
<12> wellington boots
<12> what do you call them?
<9> wellies
<7> if I knew what they were I might be able to answer that
<9> :)
<7> one sec
<9> hehe
<9> hmm, oddly, now it shows #NA half way down the list
<7> ah ok, wading boots I guess we'd call em
<9> Hmm, it's because apple doesnt exist
<9> Oh well, we wont stock apple toners :P
<9> wading boots are long, to your thigh
<9> We call those waders
<9> Wellies are after the Duke of Wellington
<9> Wellington boots :)
<9> Bloody foreigners :P
<7> we don't believe in dukes :/
<7> wacky brits
