<0> oh
<0> no.. someone told me about the bot on IRC
<1> Tom Tom Bombadil, Tom Tom Bombadil.. how's the song go?
<0> :)
<0> but I heard about it from a generally reliable source
<2> don't know.. not sure I ever read it.
<2> Just know there was a dragon in it.
<1> tom bombadil some say was illuvatar/god
<1> the one ring didn't affect him, didn't make him invisible
<3> hey tom bombadil, tom bombadillo
<3> that's how it goes
<1> and when bilbo I think put it on.. or was it frodo don't remember.. anyhow tom saw him
<4> tchang: the changes may not have been malicious in nature: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category_talk:Integers
<1> it was frodo sorry..
<3> you were talking about lotr last night when i was here last
<3> and you're still talking about lotr

<1> roycroft: it's a powerful story
<1> silmaril sums it up
<0> revs
<0> the bot I heard about was designed to change at random :)
<2> I read "charge" not "change"
<1> even if the bot changes things, in every lie is a bit of truth, one can read between the lies, and if there is lies in there already it may change it back to truth unknowingly..
<2> pbug, stop going down the "I always lie" path.
<1> http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/75/Sv-flyg_ful
<1> a_fluga.ogg
<1> sorry those should be joined..
<1> THAT.. run through sox, with echo and repeated sounds hellish
<1> what a tongue twister..
<1> if you know viking/icelandish it means: "Fly, ugly fly, fly! And the ugly fly flew." (Three rounded
<1> vowels, "u", "y", and "v" occur in seven out of nine words,
<1> in english it's interesting to say as well...
<2> Frank flung himself from the flying fracha and onto the fleeing falcon.
<5> lame.
<1> * Karl u Klary ukral korally, a Klara u Karla ukrala klarnet
<1> * (Karl u Klary ukral korally, a Klara u Karla ukrala klarniet.)
<1> (listen)
<1> Karl stole corals from Klara and Klara stole a clarinet from
<1> Karl.
<1> URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tongue-twisters
<2> Everyone erased erek from the entropy and exulted at their expertly extented excution.
<5> i think this is all just stupid fascinations. you're all bored.
<1> well I'm learning so much through wikipedia.. it's incredible.. I should watch it.. knowledge is power and power corrupts..
<2> pbug, and knowledge and power makes you unhappy.. Stupid nieve peasants are more happy than wise old rulers.
<1> "I remember growing up thinking knowledge was power but power corrupts, now you got fools who think only with their tools, what happened to concious rap, that **** was fat, now it's all clicheed and trifled" - tersias, very good rapper..
<5> pbug, Wikipedia is too subjective and therefor many universities do not even accept cites from wikipedia as valid academic sources. there is very little authority or professional revision done to the content. also i believe the bias of the articles is determined by a builtin language checker?
<2> everything is bias... From wikipedia to the old fat college professor that has tenure that claims the world is flat and all his students are stupid.
<1> erek: you know what? I'm 30 years old, I don't think I'll go to university at this age anymore.. what is a university going to teach me now... they can't teach anything from me now.. all universities are there for now is to wage war against people who stand in the way of their "pupil" to get power
<1> wow I'm tired..
<1> my engrish is worsening day by day..
<2> s0 u b w4r3z t4|ki/\/9
<1> it's actually funny I took time to read that in order to understand..
<2> pbug, even more funny is I suspect it didn't take you long to figure it out because of pattern matching. =-)
<2> and the mind's ability to fill in unknown sections.
<1> lately I analyse text pretty carefully, flipping it over.. reading it backwards things like that, learned a lot by those means..
<5> one moment
<5> pbug, http://erek.necrotec.com/draft3.txt
<1> uno momento
<2> pro-for-vor
<5> read over it, pbug
<1> an informative warning?
<5> please read over it, pbug
<1> warning informative? na!
<2> pbug, I tend to question a lot of attempts at finding hidden meanings. I know when I write I tend to ensure that if the reader attempts to find hidden meaning they get gibberish or cross-talk.
<5> Mouring, what? like the da vinci code?
<2> sorry never read Da Vinci Code.. Not really into that style of book.
<5> you're doing cross words in your own writing?
<2> no.
<2> "cross-talk"
<5> well the book is entirely fluff
<5> all you get from it is
<5> a buncha geeks are turning the bible into a giant word find
<2> Writing *ONE* thing, while IMPLYING another... ***uing you read it just the right away.
<1> mouring: the thing is this.. I'm not looking for a point, the point is moot when I die anyhow..but if there really is a pattern that I find and it opens something before me then I will go to my grave happy.. well somewhat..
<2> and they are at utter odds with each other.
<5> Mouring, basically they try and make sentences from p***ages out of the bible going diagnol or any way they can
<5> Mouring, they believe that the bible has hidden messages and secrets to the universe in it
<2> pbug, I tend to find it more interesting to take something and branch off in all the potental meanings.

<2> I'm well aware of what Da Vinci Code is based off of.. It's called "The Bible Code"
<1> mouring: yeah I like doing that as well.. although it's not always that easy..
<5> i was figuring that's what you were doing with your own writing
<2> I have as much faith in it as the fun stuff people have found in ****son, Mobby ****, etc.
<1> it turns out to be funny at times and insane at others..
<5> pbug, did you read over my text
<5> pbug, http://erek.necrotec.com/draft3.txt
<1> wanna know something.. here is a crack head idea.. on 911 the twin towers.. michael jordan chopped the north tower and scotty pippen the south tower.. how about that one? I know it sounds crazy but those two bulls have reasons ;)
<1> erek: working on it.. hold on..
<2> erek, writing tends to have multiple currents... The visual one (how words are strung next to each other and the type of short and extreme-long words), the spoke flow (what the surface meaning of the words are), the emotional content (what they ar expressing in terms of emotion and counter-emotion) and the underlying symbolism.
<2> For a good piece you have *ALL* of them.. And they aren't always flowing in the same direction.. They criss cross.
<5> Mouring, sounds like a load of artsy bologna to me
<5> i write without those intentions
<1> erek: I'm not really interested..
<5> i don't exactly feel that i'm a terrible writer, but i definitely don't have the time to do anything along those lines
<2> .. ermm. type of writer I am.
<6> what is an integrated print manager?
<5> if i had the time to develop writing that had underlying meanings or hidden ideas i'm sure i'd be an excellent writer, but it would take me years to write one idea
<6> print driver + toner level monitor + ***et manager + print cost billing?
<2> erek, not really.
<1> erek: you're self describing your illness.. schizophrenia.. that's nice..
<5> pbug, i don't have it
<1> you do write about self-diagnosis
<2> When you write a piece you do something simple.. You write down a single line that is your point.. a single line of how you want your users to feel and a single line that describes your real motives.
<2> And you start from there.
<5> Mouring, did you read my text?
<6> erek the best medication is a 9mm jhp
<2> erek, no because I'm getting ready to go home.. and not in the modd to read other stuff.
<1> erek: what are you trying to imply by this?
<5> pbug, i don't have the illness
<5> pbug, my thesis is clearly written
<1> why is it important for ME to read it?
<5> because wikipedia is too subjective
<1> why would schizophrenia interest me on wikipedia?
<5> pbug, don't question it.
<1> erek: you're a ****ing punk
<1> you have absolutely know clue
<6> probably the best thing for all involved
<6> *erek* don't worry, my 2nd client is still involved
<6> *erek*> i won't have to hunt for your clone, because you'll announce it soon enough
<2> wow.. did I miss something interesting?!
<2> Pitty.. I'll have to request it from the national efnet chat archives.
<6> nothing really interesting
<3> which national efnet chat archives?
<3> snooze' or figz'?
<6> mine don't get logged to disk
<6> or cdr
<2> snooze's a mental logger... so you have to cut open his head and dice is brain to get it out.
<2> but we can replace it with a simple mind!! He'd never know!
<3> snooze used to run bots to log stuff
<6> are you really going to bring up cross channel stuff?
<7> logs of irc?
<2> figured the FBI must have them.
<2> so Chuck wears that to bed every night.. Sad
<8> This isn't an emergency or anything, but does anyone know why XFree86 4.1.0.1 would die and fail to restart after the computer (linux 2.4.17) suspends?
<8> The error message is that screens are found but unusable
<8> Works fine before it suspends
<6> a lot of video drivers get goofed up after a suspend-resume cycle
<9> suspending a PC is actually a fairly antisocial thing to do.. much hardware wasn't designed to suddenly have its io buses go silent and clocks stop, and then restart some arbitrary period later
<8> how would i turn that all off? i don't have apmd
<9> usually "fixing" the problem is just a matter of providing a recover from suspend hook to various drivers to reinitialize the hardware
<6> power off?
<10> apple solved it fairly nice
<9> it's not hard to do when you control all the hardware
<2> Apple has one of the best suspend-resume I've seen... I love it..
<6> m10 frankenstein systems don't suspend/resume very well, sengle vendor products do a better job
<6> single even
<10> hehe
<10> I'll remember that one, frankenstein systems
<8> i'm not familiar with how linux suspends and resumes - whats actually doing it and how do you control it?
