<11> bootloader grub/lilo both work, ubuntu comes with grub. Partitioning program... there's qtparted which does everything wpartition magic does, even resizes NTFS partitions

<13> im having boatloads of hey folks, im having trouble getting full screen resolution. host: winxp pro laptop w/ max resolution 1280x800. guest: ubuntu linux dapper. i'd like to throw up the ubuntu window at 1280 x 1024 on my lcd monitor. i have tried editing /etc/x11/xorg.conf and inserting the "1280x1024" monitor resolution with no luck.... any ideas?
