<17> hello, after downloading the CD, i launch ubuntu and try to install. it gets past alot of things and once it seems as if its gunna finally launch ubuntu the cusor frezes and it doesnt go anywhere

<18> the checksum is a string of characters they list next to the download normally, then you load the file with a checksum program and make sure that the numbers you generate match the posted ones.
