<0> http://www.akiradisplay.com/boardview.asp?code=Press&seq=56 <0> they sell panels already crammed <1> sweet <2> hwo can i append one file 's contents to another? <0> cat another >> one
<2> gracias <3> Hm, I have an issue here with kernel v2.6.17.9. My internetconnection is really slow, about 10-20 Kbyte/s using wget. But if I boot on a LiveCD (with a different kernel), it's like it should (about 2500Kbyte/s). The strange thing is that if I copy a file over my LAN using Samba, it's like it should... Any suggestions to what might be wrong? <3> some modules or something in the kernel related to internet-traffic that's messed up? <0> install 2.4.33? <0> hehe <0> I'd try using some traffic sniffing tools to see what isup <3> heh, true. I know 2.4.x works :P But I've stuff installed that relies on v2.6 I think <0> s/isup/is up/ <3> is there any such tools installed by default? <3> takes forever to download :| :P <4> I hate candy. NOT <5> hey any1 knows how to mess with smoothwall which is (slackware based), since their support isnt active atm .. <1> how to mess with?? <0> smoothwall is not slackware based <3> hmm... tried kernel v2.6.15.7... That one works just fine.. :S strange. <6> why is that strange? <1> OMFG! <1> i think i just burnted the **** outa my seat.. holy ****.. <1> that was bad. <1> ewww
<1> dont know what i ate. <6> 2.6 is fine, i run 2.6.15 and it is hella stable <1> im on 2.6 <1> 2.6.17.7 <7> does the device mapper not support using a regular file as a target? I thought it was supposed to effectively take away the need for loopback stuff? <3> tech-:P Strange because with kernel v2.6.17.9 I only get an inbound speed of 10-20kbyte/s from the internet, while I get the full 100mbit from my LAN and full 20mbit with v2.6.15 <6> it's probably a unstable version right? <3> no, it was the release <6> i run the default debian etch kernel, it's working great <3> I've tried 2.6.17, 2.6.17.8 and 2.6.17.9. Had the problem with all of them, but with 2.6.15.7 it's good. But I can live with that.. :P <3> Anyways.. I'm using software raid on this box, and I only get /dev/md0 .. md1 and md2 are missing from /dev.. :S Suggestions?? <3> when I try to get md1 or md2 up, I get "no MD device file in /dev." <6> sorry, no expirience with RAID <6> ugh, gentoo kiddies pisses me off. I tell them that I have a default distro kernel with everything as modules, and he is like 'lol, then your kernel has support for everything', then I say 'yeah, but only for the modules I load myself' <6> but he still goes 'yeah, but then your kernel is bigger and more vulnerable' <2> whats a good way to take an image of a linux machine's hard drive so i can put the image on another identical machine? <3> tech-: hehehe :P <8> you can try dd <0> \n: google for 'g4u', works great, stay away from 'g4l' <2> ok <0> you can use the dd line in their guide to cut down on image size as well
