<0> :) <0> octalpuss: one guy from freenode. i said we kill for saying l-o-l <1> I am an infidel who comes from the lands of Debian, Gentoo and OpenWRT <2> jack-home: well duh... that goes without saying <2> and ddwrt > openwrt <0> octalpuss: huh? when did i mentioned dd-wrt / openwrt? <0> s/-ed/- <2> 17:08 < CannedBar> I am an infidel who comes from the lands of Debian, Gentoo and OpenWRT <1> octalpuss: I'm suprised, I would figure that a slackware user would prefer openwrt to dd-wrt <2> i'm all about the best tool for the job <2> i've found ddwrt to be easier to use, have better stability, and more of the features i'm looking for <1> and btw, there is no way it can be considered superior for a lot of my openwrt routers, which are not broadcom boards. I quite a few xscale and other routers, which dd-wrt doesn't support. <1> besides, dd-wrt can't do IPsec or many other things that I want without a lot of hastle. <1> heh, I've had a lot of issues with dd-wrt's stability too, found openwrt to be far more stable.
<1> I have quite a few* <2> my issue with openwrt was that it tries to be everything... i just want a damn router, not a firewall/router/gateway/*** scratcher <0> : <0> hehhe :D <1> octalpuss: heh, it doesn't try to be everything, and most of the dev's say that repeatedly, but it does have packages to do many things if people want it to. <0> and damn, i wasted 2 days ... 2 precious days :( <2> CannedBar: you'll see this is also why i use slackware... it doesn't try to be anything either, hehehe <1> that's like saying that gnome is better than kde because it doesn't have as many options. <1> and no I'm not trying to start a gnome/kde debate (I don't like either of them) <2> both of them ****! <0> CannedBar: you are luck you don't like them! <0> s/luck/lukcy <0> luck god damn it! <0> omfg! <0> time to take some rest <3> Hm, someone know about a "childproof" plugin or something for Mozilla Firefox to prevent children from surfing on certain websites? <1> dramz: you could install dansguardian to block out objectionable content. <2> dramz: leaving that to the browser is stupid <2> you want a proxy <3> true, true :P <3> Thanks for your input.. I'll read up on squid and dansguardian :) <0> g'night all <4> ah let the kid look at killing and pr0n if they want <4> the earlier they start, the better <3> :D <5> hola <0> morning <6> morning <6> is it safe to use slackpkg to upgrade the glibc package ? <0> i wouldn't use such thing at all <6> ok <7> what on earth is slackpkg. <0> gamkiller: i guess it's something like swaret. <7> Perhaps he means "slackware packages" ? <0> i guess slackpkg is application/script <7> But how do you know? =) <0> because somebody talked about it before <8> it's in extra/ I believe <7> There we go <8> don't open mail from strangers <8> it might be a VIRUS <8> and it'll infect your computer and make it explode <9> burp <10> penis. <7> Dylan: It's ok, I use a new OS called FishSticks. <7> you just eat themn. <7> them. <7> laggy line today. <8> that doesn't matter! you'll get W89.Foozball and it'll kill your first-born! <7> But I cannot bear a child! <8> Are you sure? <7> check for yourself! <7> Hi tech. <10> gamkiller, Hi <7> Did you see my img2table thingy?
<7> Heh <10> Nope <7> tech-: it uses perlmagick to convert images to html tables <7> Very useful :D <7> tech-: http://www.pulia.nu/code/junk/img2table.pl <10> Is Gnome faster than KDE? <10> I will look at it <8> Gnome has a buggy weather applet. Therefore KDE > Gnome. <7> tech-: Doing what? <7> Dylan: and evolution is the buggiest e-mail client ever. <7> yet an other point to KDE. <7> However, KDE doesn't really have an e-mail client that works. <7> so. <7> :). <8> Eh, Kmail is okay. <8> When it works, it's good. <7> Dylan: it can't do MAPI though, can it. <10> Well, in general, I installed Debian on this 448mhz <8> Probably not, but then I don't know what MAPI is. <7> Dylan: Good. Keep it that way. <8> No. <7> and if someone tries to explain it, ignore them. <7> NO. <7> It's not worth it. <8> Nonsense <7> Fine. <7> Suit yourself. <8> All knowledge is ueful <8> useful <7> Dylan: Aren't you the 15-year old guy? <8> I am <7> Mm. <8> Done. <8> 1st paragraph of Wikipedia told me enough. <8> well, the MAPI article. <7> Dylan: 'nuf said. <10> Ah, I'm going to broke myself on the 'vinmonopolet' today. <10> *sniff*8 <7> tech-: also, check out my gallery generator. <7> tech-: you might be able to improve it? <7> It's pretty ugly :(. But it works quite reliably. <11> yay, tech- can drink alcohol soon =)) <10> Funklord, how did you know? only less than 22% though <11> tech-: they have funny laws like that? <11> so if you're 60 you can drink 90% <11> ? <7> tech-: did you check out any code? <10> Funklord, nah, only 18 and 20 <10> gamkiller, yeah <7> tech-: which? <10> i looked through your perl-dir, was it pretty.pl or something that was the gallery <10> ? <7> tech-: no, that is a VERY old one <7> tech-: it's in code/projects/npretty/ I think <7> yeah. <7> meeting, gotta run. <12> I have installed a printer on my slack box, and its printing fine. I have also set up a samba share, but when i add it in windows i get access denied, i have a samba user. What could be wrong ? <13> SLACK ware <14> "slackware" <2> mmm, kinky <13> hey erik <13> you're alive! <2> lies <13> has anyone tried faronics deep freeze for windows machines? <15> whatsup!
